University of Maiduguri UNIMAID under Boko Haram Attack?

An unconfirmed report has it that the University town of Maiduguri is under heavy attack by men suspected to be members of the Boko Haram sect.

The report has it that several explosions were heard around the university campus in the early hours of today. The attackers are said to be shooting sporadically at anything in sight.

Students of the University of Maiduguri have been thrown into confusion following the news of the attack.

As at the time of this report, it is yet to be ascertained if the attack led to deaths.

Meanwhile, Armed policemen have taken over some of the major roads in the city.
