THIRD Aircraft Of Alison-Madueke Uncovered

It has been revealed that the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, chartered a third jet for her use, despite the fact that there are already two aircrafts in the records of the committee.

It would be recalled that soon after the committee had been set to investigate the expenditure of N10bn on a Challenger 850, another jet Alison-Madueke used for private and official trips was uncovered yesterday.
However, it does not seem like the end of the story, as The Punch, based on the information from the source close to the Public Accounts committee, has gathered that the committee is gathering information on the existence of a third jet chartered by the minister for the same purposes as the first two.
The source, who pleaded anonymity, said:
"Well, the assignment before the committee is an investigation. Nobody has been accused of any wrongdoing for now, but we have to establish all these allegations."
At the moment it is not known yet when the minister will be summoned, and a lot of question remain unanswered like: Did Alison-Madueke actually spend these huge funds on the jets? Who approved the funds?
Answers to these and many other questions are expected to be received during the investigation.
