Riot Policeman, 32, Rapes Four-Year-Girl In Plateau State

Jos, Plateau State - On Wednesday, a riot policeman attached to the Special Task Force in Jos, Plateau State, was apprehended for allegedly raping a four-year-old girl.

The 32-year-old corporal was serving with the STF at Rapum in Kassa area of Barkin Ladi LGA of the state.
After the accident, little Helen was bleeding severely and was treated at the Barakin Ladi General Hospital. However, the bleeding later intensified, so the girl was rushed back to the hospital the following morning. The doctors are currently battling for her life.
The parents reported the case to the Sector Commander in Barakin Ladi. The culprit was identified and promptly arrested. He has been detained at the command's detention facility and would soon be transferred to the STF headquarters for further interrogation.
According to the STF spokesman, the suspect will be tried according to the law and face charges.
Meanwhile, local residents say the corporal was only recently posted to this duty post and used to cover his name and rank plates with his cardigan to hide his identity.
