This is what happens when you mix Coke and milk. I don’t know if I’ll ever drink Coke again… WTF?

If you are still amazed by the Coke+Mentos reaction, wait until you see what happens when you pour some milk into a bottle of Coke.
Coke has an acidic pH between 2.5 and 4.5, and most of you probably know that you can use Coke to take tarnish off of coins and other metal stuff, and some people even use it to degrease car engines. But what happens when we mix Coke with another liquid with a normal pH like milk?

Now let’s see what happens when you pour some milk into a bottle of Coke

Close the bottle and forget about if for 6 hours

Long story short, what basically happens when you mix Coke and milk is a reaction of the Phosphoric Acid contained in the Coke with the milk. Phosphoric Acid molecules attach to the milk giving them more density, this separes these molecules from the rest, while the remaining liquid that makes up milk and Coke becomes lighter and floats on top.
