Jesus and Mary have been spotted on Google Earth.

The extraordinary image, which can be seen on the satellite imaging site, appears to show a shrouded Messiah accompanied by Mother Mary.

The dark image of the son of God can be seen on the left, while his mother’s outline, coloured white and pink, is on the right.

Mary even appears to be cloaked in a flowing gown, head bowed and hands held in prayer.

The image was snapped by Google as its imaging vehicle drove along the A5 highway near Walensee, in Switzerland.

NB: In the early hours of October 28, 2013, Monday, several Nigerian Internet media sources published statements about the death of the Former Chief of General Staff, Vice Admiral Mike Akhigbe.

Reports of THISDAY newspapers, further reposted by 24/7 Nigeria News Update and several others claimed that Mike Akhigbe died at the weekend in England, after losing his battle with cancer.

Nevertheless, a reliable family source confirmed to NAIJ.com in a telephone conversation that Vice Admiral Akhigbe is alive.

In addition to his height, Kosen also entered the Guinness Book of World Records due to the size of his hands and feet, which are recorded at 10.8 inches (27.5 centimeters) and 14.37 inches (36.5 centimeters) respectively.

Kosen suffers from a rare disorder acromegaly which causes his body to continually produce the growth hormone.

A 13-year-old boy carrying a replica assault rifle has been shot dead by police in the US state of California, the BBC reports.Officers in the city of Santa Rosa say they opened fire after the boy refused orders to drop the rifle, which they believed to be real. The shooting on Tuesday is now being investigated. It comes a day after a 12-year-old boy in Nevada shot dead a maths teacher at his school and wounded two fellow pupils before taking his own life.

The case was reported earlier this year but some doctors were skeptical that the baby was really infected rather than testing positive because of exposure to virus in the mom's blood.

Lagos Commissions 10.4 Megawatts Alausa Powerplant

Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola on Thursday commissioned the 10.4 megawatts Alausa independent power project (IPP).
The power plant will cater for the power needs of the state secretariat, Alausa and also electrify Awolowo Road, Ikeja and adjoining streets.
The inauguration of the plant is in continuation of activities commemorating October 2013 as 'Energy Conservation Month'.
The power plant will supply uninterrupted electricity to a total of 62 public buildings, 156 departments and over 40 offices thereby enhancing efficient service delivery at the seat of government and other public institutions.
Apart from the secretariat complex which includes the Government House, Lagos State House of Assembly and public service offices, the plant will also feed the Lagos Television (LTV 8); Lagos State Printing Corporation; Lagos State Council of Arts & Culture; Office of the State Surveyor-General; proposed Multi-Agency Complex, and Staff Quarters I, II and III with power in addition to power street lights within the area.
Inaugurating the plant, Fashola said the construction of the environment-friendly plant made Lagos State the first government in Nigeria to run its own power plant.
