President Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday said those accusing him of backing Boko Haram are insane during his campaign rally in Yola, the Adamawa State capital. Jonathan said that he had no reason to sponsor the killing of children, women and the aged as he had nothing to benefit from such deleterious actions. “In 2011, I had two times the number of votes I had in Bayelsa State. Why should I want to reduce that number of votes?” Jonathan quipped. “Only a mad person can insinuate that the president is supporting Boko Haram.”

Pics: Buhari & His Team Enjoy Breakfast Before Lagos Rally Today

APC presidential candidate Muhammadu Buhari and his Team are in Lagos for the presidential campaign rallies and they were pictured having breakfast this morning.

The Nigerian Nation Against General Buhari, By Wole Soyinka

This intervention has been provoked, not so much by the ambitions of General Buhari to return to power at the head of a democratic Nigeria, as by declarations of support from directions that leave one totally dumbfounded. It would appear that some, myself among them, had been overcomplacent about the magnitude of an ambition that seemed as preposterous as the late effort of General Ibrahim Babangida to aspire yet again to the honour of presiding over a society that truly seeks a democratic future. What one had dismissed was a rash of illusions, brought about by other political improbabilities that surround us, however, is being given an air of plausibility by individuals and groupings to which one had earlier attributed a sense of relevance of historic actualities.

Omo's dad praised the doctors in India for the successful completion of the operation, thanking God for ensuring that his son can now live a normal life. He also appreciated the Lagos State Government for their help in LASUTH, all the NGOs that got involved and the media for the attention given to his son.

APC has something for Nigerians: This Is What You Will Get

ACTNOW RE: BUHARI VS. JONATHAN: BEYOND THE ELECTION BY PROF. SOLUDO
The above titled piece by Prof. Chuwuma Soludo to us is highly welcome at a time like this when those who should know would be doing Nigeria a great injustice by keeping quiet. Any advice given by the former CBN governor, ought to be given critical attention by any serious minded party.

This piece is to first, appreciate the depth of thought the author has put in, to particularly wake Nigerians up to the reality of the quagmire the PDP government has placed this nation particularly in the last five years. As a former Chief Economic Adviser to the President and later CBN governor Prof. Soludo surely knows what he is talking about.
On our part as a party that is determined to reverse the nation from the march to self-destruction we have taken a long and hard look at most of the issues raised by the erudite professor and we have penned down credible and workable answers to the issues raised...

While not denying the nobility and originality of our ideas for change, the writer only assumed that with the current state of the badly battered public finance, our party when elected into power would not be able to fulfil its promises. This opinion need not be criticised but to be provided with honest answers since its manifest intent and purpose is to engender qualitative debate and not strife.

EXPOSED: How AIT forged Fake Proof against Buhari

African Independent Television (AIT), had alleged that their Online presidential opinion poll was compromised in favor of the presidential candidate of the APC, Muhammadu Buhari, hence they stopped the poll.

But the Executive Director of Nigeria's Paradigm Initiative and popular IT consultant Gbenga Sesan, conducted an investigation of the file and discovered that AIT forged the documents, allegedly crafting fake IP addresses to support their claims.

Sesan tweeted: "What AIT won’t tell you about the CSV file shared with other media houses, along with their statement, is that it’s easy to edit columns... I challenge AIT to release the CSV file with all erring IP addresses, and let’s trace those IPs to see where they lead."

Below are the revelations that exposed AIT's fake proof against Buhari:

APC candidate, David Umoru, Declared Winner of Niger East Senatorial Election

Facebook & Instagram hacked, went down Worldwide for over an hour on Tuesday

Imagine a world without Facebook and Instagram…We experienced it yesterday morning and it was crazy all over the world. Maybe, you didn’t notice that Facebook and Instagram was hacked yesterday morning around 6am GMT.

The online group Lizard Squad have claimed responsibility for the hack, which took the two social media sites down at around 6am GMT.
Both sites, which have a total of 1.5billion users, appeared with error messages in the United States, Europe and Asia for around an hour.

But despite hackers claiming they took the social media giants offline, Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook, which also owns Instagram, refused to say what the fault was.

There were claims online that the super-snowstorm that is over America’s east coast may have knocked out its servers
The social media blackout also affected the dating mobile app Tinder, as well as AOL Instant Messenger and Hipchat.
While it was down Facebook said they were ‘aware’ of trouble accessing the site and added: ‘We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible.’

I’m good enough to be Nigeria’s President - Davido

Davido might have gotten a little carried away with all the awards and other accolades he has received in his very successful career. During a 45 second speech for MTV Base’s Choose or Lose Vox Pop – the outspoken Davido for an unknown reason spoke about some of the things he’ll do if he becomes Nigeria’s president:

“Yes I’m voting, I want my voice to be heard, there’s no point in complaining if you are not going to vote. “I think I’m good enough to be president, because it’s me, I want to be the president. I’ll fix all the bad roads, I’ll fix up the currency of course, and different other things, as much as I can do in a day I’ll do.”

Here Is The Real Goodluck Jonathan

by ENDS: While the Nigerian presidential campaign committee, led by the notorious Femi Fani-Kayode has released an nonfactual documentary that embarrasses journalism and media production in Nigeria and attempts to distort Nigeria's better parts of history to the present and future generations; we have produced the first in a set of fact based videos of the outstanding documentary, "The Real Goodluck Jonathan."

The Real Goodluck Jonathan video series helps to draw up an accurate representation of the best and not so good of the current presidency and enables Nigerians appreciate the point in time where the country is now to best determine how to steer their future.

Buhari, The Answer To Our Prayers

The government of Goodluck Jonathan is the most vivid example we have of the virus of lost standard. Under his watch, the country has gone to the dogs. Government officials are massively squandering our patrimony and looting the treasury with impunity.  It is so hard to work up any optimism because the president is simply not interested in fighting corruption. In this precious country of ours, Corruption is not only internalized but externalized.

People steal and keep outside thereby destroying our country and enriching those of other nations. This is a dispiriting take on the Nigerian situation because if this satanic corruption continues, Nigeria is doomed to speedy disappearance. We have had a long run of ill-luck in leadership that we cannot take this anymore.

Hence, the choice of General Muhammadu Buhari by the All Progressive Congress (APC) is historic, courageous and potentially transformative.  This man is about the most honest Nigerian of all time. He is a man who hates greed and corruption with a passion.

Here's APC reaction to the documentary against Buhari on AIT

A lot is being said about the documentary on AIT that painted General Muhammadu Buhari black. But what are the facts and what should be the issues in this campaign? More from El-Rufai below:

Zahra Buhari Back On Twitter, Accuses PDP Of Hacking Into Her Twitter Account (See Tweets)

Zahra, the daughter of the All Progressives Congress, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has accused the Peoples Democratic Party of hacking into her Twitter account.

On her Twitter handle, she said the ruling party used somebody to gain an unlawful access into her account to post a grammatical blunder aimed at embarrassing her.

The aspiring first daughter, who now has a new account, said she was shocked that the PDP could stoop so low to gain a political advantage.

She said, “The PDP had someone hack into my Twitter account to post a grammatical blunder. This is so uncalled-for.

“Even if I tweeted a grammatical blunder, I didn’t say ‘There is God o’ like our First Lady said.”

She, however, did not give further details to buttress the allegation.

She had previously frowned on the actions of the party, saying Nigerians were no longer ready to tolerate its excesses.

Since her comeback, Zahra’s fans are pouring in by the second to reconnect with her on the new account – @ZahraBuhari. She has also become more active on the medium.

Introducing the account, she told her fans, “I am as lovely as my father’s lovely heart.”

The United Kingdom-based undergraduate, who shot into limelight earlier in the month when her photographs appeared on the social media, said people “now think I am faking in my own world.”

On Wednesday, she posted a series of tweets, insisting that Nigerians could not continue to endure the pains bad leadership has inflicted on them.

Noting that change was inevitable, she called on individuals to support her father to bring the desired change as the country approaches crucial general elections.

“Change is the only thing that is permanent. We need change.

“If school certificate defines a good president, don’t you think President Jonathan’s PhD ought to have fought insecurity and corruption,” she tweeted.

Zahra also sent photographs of a campaign train of the APC, saying, “This is how far we can go to get a change. Do not watch, make a move and vote for change.”

Zahra’s striking beauty had won her thousands of fans on her now-terminated Twitter handle -@zahra3 – following the release of her photographs by bloggers. But the young lady, who has become an instant celebrity, dumped the account, leaving her fans in the limbo.

Shortly before closing her former Twitter account, she had described the debate on the whereabouts of her father’s certificates as a “misplaced priority.”

Amid her soaring fame, some people had however warned that her sudden celebrity was a bad publicity for Buhari.

For instance, Arikor Ogonnaya argued that her overnight celebrity status would do her father more bad than good.

He also suggested that the fame she was getting was an indication that her father would not achieve the “change” he desires for the country.

“Your father is someone who has been hailed throughout the media as a spotless saviour; a sinless messiah and a guiltless saint. His ‘change’ mantra says so. For somebody who is vigorously trying to so ‘change’ Nigeria as he claims, his first port of call should be our attitudes, lifestyle and mentality. Having his daughter’s picture trending on Twitter isn’t the best way to begin such change.

“Politics, as you know it in ‘oyinboland’, has a totally different meaning in Nigeria. Here, politics is really ‘politicks’ translating into ‘poli’ –many, and ‘ticks’ – blood-sucking insects. Well, having your picture trending on social media is such a great avenue,” Ogonnaya noted.

New Facts Show President Jonathan’s Age Falsification

New facts emerging are putting into dispute the official age given by the President of Nigeria on his public service documents.

Accounts from the president himself and others who dare to provide information suggest that contrary to his stated age—being born on November 20, 1957; the president was born several, perhaps 10 years earlier and is over 60 years old.

President Jonathan said in 2011 while giving his Christmas Carol address:

Agbaje’s Firm Owes N1.6m Land Use Charge – Fashola

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, has said Jaykay Pharmacy Limited, owned by the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party owes the Lagos State Government about N1.6m land use charge.

According to him, the land use charge, which the company should have remitted to the office of the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service, had accrued for four consecutive years.

Speaking at the 8th Annual Lagos State Taxation Stakeholders Conference on Wednesday, Fashola said the free education and free health care provided for Lagos residents were funded from the tax.

The governor said, “Jaykay Pharmacy has not paid land use charge for 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. It paid in 2013 and 2014. It owes this government N1, 629, 064.62. How many books will it have bought in the schools? How many drugs will it have provided in the hospital? I will advise you that you avoid inexperience. I will advise you that you avoid experiment.”

The Federal High Court in Lagos on Wednesday restrained five telecoms firms from suspending All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign fund-raising platform. Justice Ibrahim Buba made the ex-parte order following the party’s motion. The judge made an order of interim injunction restraining Etisalat, MTN, Glo, Airtel and Visafone from giving effect to a directive by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) which warned them against running political promotions that will portray them as being partisan. The judge ordered the telecoms firms “to continue to run, operate and/or restore to its full operative use the SMS Code platform 35350 created for fund-raising for the applicant’s presidential campaign.” The orders are to subsist pending the hearing and determination of APC’s originating motion on notice. The court also granted APC leave to serve the originating motion on notice and other processes on NCC (the first defendant) outside the court’s jurisdiction. APC said the platform is to operate till February 12 when campaign activities for the presidential election will end in line with Electoral Act and the election time-table. In the originating motion, APC is demanding N25billion damages from the defendants for violating the fundamental rights of the party and its members. It said since the platform was suspended, it has been unable to disseminate or receive information from its supporters via the SMS code 35350. The party said while the platform was suspended, NCC has allowed that of President Goodluck Jonathan to run seamlessly. The party said it created a “premium SMS code 35350″ through which willing donors could contribute to its presidential campaign fund. Within hours of its creation, APC said it was getting about five messages of N100 each every minute. A total of 5,400 messages were received, it said. However, NCC in a January 19 letter, directed all telecoms service providers “to avoid running political advertisements that will portray them as being partisan.” NCC said it would “not hesitate to sanction any service provider that will flout this directive.” As a result, the telecoms firms suspended the platform. However, APC said political parties have been using several media platforms to advertise, with none accused of being partisan.

See The Many 'SINS' of President Goodluck Jonathan

by Abraham Ogbodo
The APC camp is unrelenting. It has decided that come rain or shine, the 72-year old ex-general must make Aso Rock on May 29. A certificate or something that approximates that has been shown to put paid to debates on whether or not the party’s flag bearer in the February 14 presidential election is educated to a level of becoming Nigeria’s president.

In effect, all things being equal, it has been agreed that Buhari is good enough in all measurements to preside over Nigeria, the most populous and biggest economy in Africa, otherwise known as Giant of Africa in the 21st century. There is little more to add. Some people are saying it is in order to try a school certificate holder or school certificate attempted and a grand old man since the PhD holder and the young man that has been running for six good years has performed below installed capacity.

Jonathan himself is the cause of these wild speculations. There is a saying in Yoruba that the hawk will lose its essence if it fails to catch chicken.

Go and Open the "Gates of Hell” and See What We Will Do –– APC tells Oyedepo

All Progressive Congress has responded via twitter that they are eagerly waiting to change Nigeria because the country is already in hell. Their tweet is in response to counter a statement allegedly credited to Bishop David Oyedepo of Winners Chapel, during President Goodluck Jonathan’s visit to his church on Sunday January 25, 2015.

An APC lieutenant replied the multi-billionaire cleric that he should open the gates of hell:
“Go and open the gates of hell…We will enter there and use PVCs to CHANGE the padlock and lock you inside- APC Supporters”

Fayose Beware, the man you wish dead may attend your burial

Written by Wole Olaoye
The ink had barely dried on my article, “Jonathan as hostage”, last week when undiscerning newspapers published a scandalous piece of trash authored and sponsored by Ayodele Fayose, the stomach-infrastructural political technician who occupies the Government House in Ekiti State.
For a man whose HND polytechnic certificate has been mired in controversy for years, and whose first tenure as governor was rife with massive scandals, the ruling PDP dug really deep into their political cesspit to exhume Fayose and unleash him on the people a second time.

As I write this, Ekiti State is the only section of the federation where the House of Assembly is run by the minority; where judges have been physically assaulted; where violence is an official policy of state; where the governor is not ashamed to advertise his use of money to pervert the social order.

Obasanjo replies Bishop Oyedepo over 'Gate of Hell' comment?

Since the alleged statement credited to Bishop David Oyedepo that he would open the gates of hell for those against President Goodluck Jonathan or his government hit the net, there has been many reactions.

But one is standing out, and it is allegedly coming from Baba himself, ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo. He was said to have replied Bishop Oyedepo and cautioned him against such partisan prayers.

Obasanjo through his twitter handle on Monday said that no pastor could tell Nigerians who to vote:
“We all want #CHANGE. Vote based on what you know not on religious or tribal sentiments! No one has the key to hell! Don’t be threatened!"
“Has Bishop Oyedepo spoken out to condemn the legalised looting of Billions of Dollars taking place under the watch of President Jonathan?"

“Did Bishop Oyedepo condemn the failure of the President to rescue the Chibok girls 9 months after they were kidnapped by the insurgents?

“Did Bishop Oyedepo speak out to condemn the manner in which the almost 300 Chibok girls were kidnapped?

Nigeria now a failed state under Jonathan – Prof David-West

A former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Prof. Tam David-West, on Tuesday described Nigeria as a failed state. Speaking at a news conference in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, he said that any government that could not protect its citizens was nothing but a failed government.

“We have a failed state in Nigeria today. I have been reading what is happening in Rivers State. Any government that cannot protect its citizens is not worth being called a government.

“I stand for a government that knows that 19 is bigger than 16. I stand for a party that I know will bring light to the darkness in Nigeria. I stand for a party of people of substance both in words and in character,” he said.

The professor of virology expressed his support for Governor Rotimi Amaechi and any party that would bring light over the country’s current darkness.

APC replies Soludo's write up which scored Jonathan F9

RE: BUHARI V JONATHAN: BEYOND THE ELECTION by Dr. Kayode Fayemi
We commend Professor Chukwuma Soludo’s for his insightful and incisive article published on January 26th in the media under the above title. We agree with Professor Soludo that if the political parties, including ours, must justify the overwhelming enthusiasm of Nigerians about the 2015 elections we must remain focused on the issues that matter most to them, which is the progress of our country and the well being of our people. Indeed, this has been the driving conviction of our party and our campaign all along.

While we accept his critical comments on our party, more for the intentions than for the letters, we believe some clarifications would be quite necessary. We wish to emphasise that our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), presents a real option to Nigerians.
In the immediate future, our priority is to tackle unemployment and provide good jobs by embarking on a massive programme of public works, building houses, roads, railways, ports and energy plants.

Professor Soludo expressed the sentiments of most Nigerians when he spoke about the incalculable damage that the PDP under President Jonathan has done to the Nigerian economy and the unprecedented hardship that his six years of the locust has brought upon Nigerians.

However, the APC does not intend to ride into power on a mere rhetoric of 'change'. The change that we propose is fundamental in many ways as it is critical to the very survival of our country. This in itself presents a major distinction between our party and the PDP. Perhaps, the most compelling argument against the People's Democratic Party today is that its government and leadership do not even see that Nigeria is in trouble. While majority of our people wallow in abject poverty, and the gap in inequality gets ever wider by the day, yet PDP has basked in self-celebration of imagined accomplishments. How can a party or a government even begin to solve a problem that it does not believe exist? Like in all things, PDP is stuck in denial.

APC does not promise Eldorado. Neither our candidate nor our manifesto has made such promise. Our programs are based on the critical awareness of the difficult task ahead, while holding out a ray of hope to our people. The promises that we make reflect our innermost belief that the people must be at the centre of development. Especially, we believe that any economic growth that leaves the majority of the people behind, and does not protect the weakest and the vulnerable among us, is merely delusional.

Professor Soludo has drawn our attention to the striking but unfortunate similarity in the nation's economy in 1982-1984 period and what we are experiencing today. Back then, a period of sustained high crude oil prices had also ironically led to unsustainable debt levels and introduction of the austerity measure. Just as it happened more than three decades ago, it is difficult to explain how a sustained period of oil boom should ultimately lead to austerity measure except to say that huge opportunities that the period of boom presented were frittered away by mindless profligacy, wanton corruption and bad economic choices made by the PDP government, which has rewarded a protracted period of boom with uncertainty and austerity and is still asking for another mandate to do more damage.

If we sound upbeat in our manifesto, it is because we recognise that this crisis period also presents us a great opportunity to restructure the economy in a way that improves the quality of lives of our people by ensuring that our economic growth is job-led. Our party has identified job creation as a critical priority of government. We have noted with concerns that Nigeria’s unemployment rate of 23.9% should be seen as a national crisis. And if this government was more sensitive to the enormity of the challenge that this presents, it would be reluctant to jump all over the place in self celebration while so many of our youths are wasting away.

Over the long term, we believe we must wean Nigeria off its dangerous addiction to oil, which currently provides 80% of our spending leaving us at the mercy of volatile international oil prices. Even as a federalist party, we believe that an economy that is dependent on a commodity that is so dangerously exposed to price volatility must always prepare for eventuality through savings and investments once the agreed thresholds are met. What we disagree with is the unilateral and arbitrary deductions in accruable revenues in a way that hampers the development of the federating States.

Going by the government's own statistics, is it mere coincidence that the three States with the lowest unemployment rate - Osun, Lagos and Kwara - are all APC States? This is evidence of our Party's ability to tackle this problem head-on. APC’s policy thrust will create an enabling environment and incentives for the formal and informal sectors to lead the quest for job creation. This will be done in addition to skills acquisition and enterprise- training to ensure our youths are equipped with the appropriate skills to take these jobs.

Merely introducing a National Qualification Standards would power a whole new world of opportunities for our artisans by launching them into the international job markets. We note the issue that Professor Soludo picked with our figure of 720,000 jobs. We need to clarify that this is limited to immediate direct employment opportunities from public projects and maintenance works only. Our manifesto actually promises a lot more jobs but we see that as the product of the enabling environment we seek to create for private sector-led job creation, especially in high opportunity sectors like agriculture, construction, entertainment, tourism, ICT and sports. APC economic policy is driven by an overwhelming concern for the level of inequality in our country today. Specifically, to quote from our manifesto, we intend to achieve our job-creation agenda through:

Massive public works programme especially the building of a national railway system (complete with tramline systems for our major cities), interstate roads, and ports. These projects must commence early in the life of the new administration.

Establishing a new Federal Coordinating Agency - Build Nigeria - to fast track and manage these public works programmes with emphasis on Nigerian labour.

Embarking vigorously on industrialization, public works and agricultural expansion.

Diversifying the economy through a national industrial policy and innovative private-sector incentives that will move us away from over reliance on oil into value-added production especially manufacturing.

Reviving textile and other industries that have been rendered dormant because of inappropriate economic policies.

Reinvigorating the solid mineral sector by revamping our aged mining legislation and attracting new investment.

Developing a new generation of domestic oil refineries to lower import costs, enhance our energy independence and create jobs.

Working with state governments to turn the country into Africa's food basket through a new system of grants and interest free loans, and the mechanization of agriculture.

Encouraging and promoting the use of sports as a source of job creation, entertainment and recreation.

Creating a knowledge economy by making Nigeria an IT /professional/Telecom services outsourcing destination hub to create millions of jobs.

Filling the huge gap in middle level technical manpower with massive investment in technical and tradesmen's skills education.

Ensuring that all foreign contractors to include a plan of developing local capacity (technology transfer).

Creation of six Regional Development Agencies covering the country with representatives from the Federal Government, States and the private sector to manage a new N300billion growth fund.

Our obsession with job creation stems from the fact that we believe we must focus on actions that would serve the twin purpose of closing the gap in inequality and creating opportunities for our people, especially the youth. Our current situation is dangerous for the stability of the country. The Human Development Index position ranks Nigeria 152 of 169 countries surveyed. This is incompatible with the present administration’s insistence on celebrating GDP growth and our absolute economic size hinged on a routine rebasing exercise.

As many commentators have pointed out, rebasing the GDP is not an achievement. Rather, it is a mere statistical adjustment that does not impact on the real or imagined standards of living of the people. So, we also wonder what this PDP government is celebrating. And maybe it is not that difficult to explain when one discovers that a small elite has captured the state and converted our commonwealth into private gain, becoming disproportionately rich from massive corruption while poverty has deepened.

The income gap and illicit capital flight are growing alarmingly. Instead of investing in modernizing our economy, massive theft has starved the country of desperately needed resources for infrastructure and public services and left us dangerously dependent on fluctuating global oil prices for our economic survival. For the ordinary Nigerian, the much-touted economic growth cited by the present administration has not translated into employment or development. Over 100 million Nigerians are struggling to make ends meet on a regular basis.

Furthermore, we understand Professor Soludo’s concern on the cost of implementing our various programmes, especially those relating to social welfare. The enormity of this challenge is not lost on us. We also know that sometimes, going into government is like buying a "no testing" electronic equipment. You may never know the true state of what you are buying until you get in. We want to assure Professor Soludo and other like-minded Nigerians that our policy team is looking at all the options – including the worst-case scenario of a completely empty treasury.

We are however confident that by blocking avenues of wastage and corruption alone, savings could run into billions of Naira that could be deployed for productive use. Even so, we agree with Professor Soludo that savings from corruption alone will not tackle the enormous challenges we are likely to confront in government. We are however comforted by the fact that a four-year period provides opportunity for phased implementation while growing the resource base as well as changing the culture of graft while reducing the cost of governance.

Quite significantly, we know that periods of economic downturn also potentially provide opportunity to lay the foundation for real economic restructuring and development; and we can reflect on how Singapore under Premier Lee Kuan Yew and the United States of America under President Franklin Delano Roosevelt used historic moments of economic downturn in their countries to launch a period of sustained development and a new deal for their people. General Buhari has never claimed to have the magic wand nor the answers to all of the country’s problems. His greatest assets would be his moral authority borne out of his self-sacrificing integrity, his sincerity of purpose and his patriotic zeal to return Nigeria to the path of progress and genuine development.

He is committed to utilize competent and committed people of integrity wherever he may find them. This is precisely why he promised when flagging off his campaign in Port Harcourt on January 5, 2015 that if voted into power, it would be an opportunity to, in his words, "finally assemble a competent team of Nigerians to efficiently manage this country”. This is a clear sign that a meritocratic process will govern the appointment of those that would be entrusted with managing our economy and country. His stint as Head of State shows a track record of using self-sacrificing professionals in his governance team. His previous cabinet included the likes of Dr. Onaolapo Soleye, Professor Tam David-West and Professor Ibrahim Gambari.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) is determined to lead Nigeria in the direction of change that is so urgently required. And even as we prepare for the immediate rescue mission in 2015, our minds are also set on building the necessary democratic institutions that would entrench our ideological conviction as a progressive and people-centred party. A National Progressives Policy Institute is part of this plan in the near future but we are very clear about the enormity of the task ahead. We would not seek to underplay it. We are supremely confident that we are equal to the task and we appreciate the commitment of majority of Nigerians to this quest for change.

Dr. Kayode Fayemi heads the Policy, Research and Strategy Directorate of the APC Presidential Campaign.
