Dozens Killed as Boko Haram Attack Askira/Uba LGA of Borno State

Reports reaching us indicate Boko Haram terrorists have attacked several villages in the Askira/Uba LGA of Borno State. Dozens of local residents have been killed, multiple buildings set on fire.
Gunmen disguised as military officers and driving over twenty Toyota Hilux vehicles have invaded Musa, Uba and Diley villages at about 1 p.m.. The number of casualties is yet to be ascertained, but many are feared to have perished in the attack. Buildings have also been burnt to the ground.
Dr. Peregrino Brimah of Every Nigerian Do Something foundation has received a distress call from a Musa village resident who managed to escape from the site of attack.
Naij.com have contacted the Nigeria Police Force, Defence Headquarters and are currently waiting for their response.
Askira/Uba local government is southeast of Chibok town.
Monday, Boko Haram killed 300 villagers in Gamboru Ngala, and then abducted another 11 girls in Chibok local government. After the terrorists attacked Gamboru Ngala, Monday, they wrote a letter to the military, saying that they will attack Maiduguri, capital of Borno state next. In a meeting with the Civilian-JTF yesterday, Tuesday, the Civilian-JTF requested permission to bear arms to defend their communities, they were told that this has to be approved by the president of Nigeria.
