A 40-year-old driver, Samuel Egurube, was
arraigned in a Makurdi chief magistrate court on Tuesday over the murder
of one Joseph Ogumba.
Both men were fighting over a motor tyre, when suddenly Joseph slumped and died.
Samuel handed himself over to the police on January 25th
after which he was arrested for murder. He did not take a plea for want
of jurisduction.
Prosecution said investigation into the matter was still ongoing.
Samuel was however remanded in in prison.
Presiding over the case, Chief Magistrate Cecilia Bakare adjourned the case to March 18.
