Coach Stephen Keshi has claimed there are forces bent on “sabotaging” Nigeria’s bid to defend their Africa Cup of Nations title in Morocco next year.

The Super Eagles are rock-bottom of Group A in the race for the 2015 Afcon with just a point from three rounds of matches in final qualifying tournament.

Nigeria will now have to win their remaining three matches, keep a watchful eyes, fingers crossed and, better still, remain prayerful that outcomes of other matches in the group are favourable.

“There is a sabotage by some people who I won’t mention their names but who know themselves,” alleged Keshi.

“They want to run this team down.

“Some people are ready to sell this country for a dime.

They want to sabotage the Super Eagles.

“It’s a shame.

They don’t want this team to get to the Afcon they want this team to lose outright.

But they are not God.

And this is not Keshi’s team.

This is a national team.

Keshi is a professional coach and after this (Eagles job), he will get another job elsewhere.”

The African champions host third-placed Sudan in a return fixture in Abuja on Wednesday.

Their final two round of matches come away to Congo, who defeated Nigeria 3-2 in Calabar last month, and at home to leaders South Africa.
