Lagos Commissioner Exchange Blows With Another Politician During Meeting

A political meeting was turned into a boxing arena on Friday, March 4, 2014 when Barrister Ademorin Aliu Kuye, the Lagos State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affair descended on a fellow politician, Honourable Olugbenga Hakeem Abdullahi (aka Naa Gbenga), and landed him some hot blows in the face.
At the political meeting which took place at the Somolu Local Government Banquet Hall and had several respected leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, such as Senator Anthony Adefuye in attendance, Abdullahi’s was said to have questioned Kuye’s rationale for moving a motion for the imposition of candidates instead of going through the due process of screening. Other politicians at the meeting were also not in support of Kuye but it it was Abdullahi he descended on as he was sitting close to him.

Abdullahi was taken by surprise with the blows reportedly fell flat on his back. Some of Kuye's thugs  identified as Yesuru and Benson also stormed the venue and landed Abdullahi more blows. This brought the meeting to an abrupt end as everyone scampered off to safety.

Yesuru is described as a very notorious thug, and was recently declared wanted by the police in Somolu.
Abdullahi, who is nursing a swollen face and some cuts on his face, has however vowed to seek for justice. Abdullahi and some party leaders in Somolu, had reported the assault to Alade Police Station, Somolu. Also, the aggrieved politician has also filed a petition to the Panti Police Station and plans to send the petition to the Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and other APC leaders.
