Odera.com reports that Basirat finished top at the recently concluded 5th edition of pre-WASSCE coaching.
While speaking on his gesture, Omisore explained that the pre-WASSCE coaching was designed to encourage students of his constituency and to also create awareness about the role of legislators among young ones.
The lawmaker said: “She came first at the pre-coaching examinations organized to assess the readiness of the participants. She shall be entitled to my one-day salary and enjoy other benefits plus all paraphernalia of office”.
The lawmaker, who is the chairman, Committee on House Service and Special Duties, stated that he designed a cap displaying the logo of Mr. Speaker for the student to wear to the chambers.
He also implored parents to teach their children values and morals that will assist them in the future.Speaking at the occasion, an elated Basirat thanked the lawmaker for the privilege given to her, and also urged other politicians to emulate the gesture in the overall interest of Nigeria.
It could be recalled that the lawmaker was reported last week saying his nephew, Iyiola Omisore, a candidate of Peoples Democratic Party in Osun, will not be able to win the upcoming governorship election in the state.
The senior Omisore had stated that unless his nephew returned to the All Progressives Congress, APC, he would not be able to rule again in Osun State after he was elected deputy governor some years ago.
The incumbent Governor of Osun, Rauf Aregbesola, who is the candidate of APC, is expected to face stiff opposition from Iyiola Omisore of PDP.
