Lamborghini was founded in 1963 and was fully acquired by Audi in 1998 which is further, a vertical of the Volkswagen Group.
Surprisingly, the stitching work in the car is done by women only. Men are not allowed to work in this division.
Ferruccio Lamborghini was a Taurean. Hence, the original bull logo was derived from that. As a matter of fact, every Lamborghini car name revolves around or has something to do with fighting bulls.
Lamborghini actually started out as a tractor manufacturing company, and one of its divisions is still dedicated to the task. Lamborghini Trattori or Lamborghini Tractors are till date designed by the same firm that created the Gallardo and the Maserati MC12.
When Ferruccio took his Ferrai 250GT to get its clutch replaced, Enzo Ferrai ferociously replied “You're just a silly tractor manufacturer, how could you possibly know anything about sports cars?” Four months post this incident, Ferruccio unveiled the first Lamborghini car, theLamborghini 350GTV. And hence, the company came to life.
The Lamborghini 350GTV did not have an engine when it was first showcased at the Turin Auto Show, and the team filled the place where the engine had to sit with bricks.
Lamborghini has a Winter Driving Academy, fully dedicated to teaching driving on ice and snow.
A number of Lamborghini models are coded by “LP”. This LP code stands for ‘longitudinale posteriore’ which in English, means that the engine is longitudinally mounted behind the two seats and forward of the rear axle.
The iconic scissor doors come only on the V12 Lamborghinis.
If you want your Lamborghini to be dipped in red color (body, brake, calipers, etc) you would have to pay extra. And that’s because Ferrari’s signature color is red.
