Davido allegedly disrupted the 2014 convocation ceremony of Babcock University in Ilishan-Remo, Ogun.
According to Vanguard, Davido made a dramatic entrance at the time the Minister of Finance, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala – the guest of honour, was delivering a speech.

Bellanaija reports that as soon as Davido stepped into the convocation venue, he attempted to enter the VIP area with his dad but was directed to the general area with his fellow students. As soon as he entered the student zone, the momentarily attention shifted to him as photographers, students and fans cheered on his arrival. That said, Okonjo-Iweala continued her speech undeterred by the noise.

According to Vanguard Newspaper, a few minutes later, his father Deji Adeleke reportedly intervened, saying “David! David! Leave this place now, and follow me wherever I go“.
