4 Nasty things Pastor Chris Oyakhilome saidher estranged wife, Anita
The divorce case, with Suit No FD14D01650, was filed on April 9, 2014 at Divorce Section A, Central
Family Court, First Avenue House, High Holborn, London, UK, on Anita's behalf by Attwaters Jameson Hill Solicitors Don't miss: Pastor Oyakhilome is ADULTEROUS, says wife; seeks divorce It's obvious their marriage has been in disarray for quite some time. Here, THE NEWS share some of the nasty things Chris had said about Anita, most of it when he addressed pastors and deacons of his church at the Bermondsey branch
of the church on 16 May.
1. "Bitterness is prolonged and
accumulated anger. My wife is always angry and bitter,"
2. "Some pastors' wives think when they marry a pastor, they are equal to the pastor. My wife thinks so. As a matter of fact, Rev. Tom was her pastor before I married her and Rev. Ray and Evang. Owase were her leaders long before I married her.
How come she thinks she's senior to them now?
3. "I already started Christ Embassy before I married her. I didn't marry her and said we should start Christ Embassy. I was already 'pastoring.' I already set my sail and knew my direction before I married her. I only
said 'come and help me.'
4. "Be careful of the friends you keep. My wife keeps friends who bring out the worst in her and help her see the worst in people, instead of keeping friends that will help her vision, especially as the wife of a global pastor like me."

Nigerian Witches And Wizards Speaks..........To Tinubu After
Nigerian Witches And Wizards Foresee What Would Happen To Tinubu After 2015
As Nigerians, both home and abroad, continue to wait anxiously for the 2015 general elections, the Witches & Wizards Association of Nigeria (WITZAN) has predicted what would happen after the polls.According to a communique signed by Dr Okhue Iboi, President WITZAN, the All Progressives Congress National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, will be betrayed in 2015 by his close aides.
“Tinubu will be betrayed. He will be sold out by those he trusted. This betrayal will affect his political empire. Tinubu’s political dynasty is under threat of crumbling.
“Tinubu is a good man, but the bitter truth he must swallow today is that APC is going nowhere. Many top notchers of PDP that are in APC now will go back to PDP. Witches said so in November last year and it happened.
“I’m telling the whole world again today that many former PDP leaders that are now in APC will betray Tinubu and other APC leaders, they will go back to PDP this year, and before 2015 general elections,” the communique read.
Commenting on why they decided to hold the meeting, Iboi said the association had a meeting following a distress call by witches in Yobe, Adamawa and Borno.
He added that the issue of Boko Haram insurgency was the highlight of their discussions.
* Ex Lagos State Governor Bola Tinubu
“Witches and Wizards in Nigeria are deeply worried by what is going on in the country especially Boko Haram insurgency. As stakeholders in the Nigerian project, we can no longer afford to fold our hands while the nation burns. Enough is enough,” he said.
The 55-year-old wizard also stated that President Goodluck Jonathan will win the presidential elections come 2015.
“Jonathan will win re-election. Although there will be pockets of violence, Jonathan will win.
“I will also have to appeal to Buhari and Tinubu, they should not waste their money, time and energy on the poll. They should go home and rest. They should forget about becoming President or Vice President of Nigeria. APC will still lose more governors to PDP before this year runs out,” Iboi said.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has announced that the 2015 Election would start in February.
Pastor Oyakhilome is ADULTEROUS, sayswife; seeks divorce
Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakholome, due to the clergyman's 'unreasonable behaviour and adultery' as well as other reasons, reported TheCable News
The estranged Pastor and the management of his church had earlier discredited speculations that he was having serious marital challenges with his wife, who is the church's vice president. Christ Embassy is regarded as one of the biggest in Nigeria with branches scattered across the country. He is considered one of the richest pastors in Nigeria and co-authors the church's Rhapsody of Realities with Anita.
"The divorce case, with Suit No FD14D01650, was filed on April 9, 2014 at Divorce Section A, Central Family Court, First Avenue House, High Holborn, London, UK, on Anita's behalf by Attwaters Jameson Hill Solicitors, a full-service law firm with expertise in commercial law and a
strong consumer focus in family, wills and estate, personal injury law and medical negligence," the medium said adding that Their marriage produced two female children,
Sharon and Charlyn.
As news of a possible divorce spread, the church had reportedly told its members not to support those spreading the 'rumour'. The church also believed that Anita was angry
because she thinks she has been relegated by her husband, who has maintained the allegations against him are untrue. It was learnt that embattled Chris Oyakhilome was served with the court papers during a recent visit to the UK.
According to TheCable, When the crisis began, the church starved Anita, who oversees the London branch of the church and other branches in Europe of funds.
But she is reportedly not perturbed even though she had complained about of lack of funds. She reportedly recently announced she was sowing a
'seed' with of $1 million at a fund raising event.

Fayose FAINTED?; Duped N40million bysons?
learning that his two sons, Joju Fayose and Rogba Fayose has fraudulently withdrawn N40million naira from his Zenith Bank account in Ibadan.
This fraud was said to have been carried out by his sons in connivance with Fayose's account officer one Remi. When Fayose confronted his sons, they told him to his face that they have taken what rightly belonged to them from their father since it is Ekiti State money that their father stole and will steal more when he assumes power in few days time!
Joju Fayose who takes after his father in character is said to be a notorious 419/yahoo boy in Lagos and specialises in dating married women and actresses.
Fayose was said to have started spending the state government's money even when he was not yet sworn in. Few weeks ago, he was said to have bought a Range Rover Jeep worth 17 million naira and asked the company to pass the bill to Ekiti State govt. Similarly, recently, he and his guests incurred a bill of N3.5million in an expensive hotel in Lagos and passed the bill to the State govt.
The recent fraudulent withdrawal by his sons is another blow to Fayose who is having a running battle of Supremacy with PDP Southwest leaders which led to his boycott of the Southwest rally for President Jonathan in Ibadan last week. Fayose was said to be very angry because his name was not presented as the Southwest PDP leader but that of Gov Mimiko who was yet to publicly declare for the PDP.
President Jonathan and other PDP leaders are reported to have regretted supporting Fayose because they now confirm his true character as self- centered and somebody who has no regard for anybody including the President. He has rebuffed all entreaties to settle with aggrieved
PDP leaders especially his Co contestants during the PDP primaries saying since he didn't need them to win his election, will not need them now. He usually boasts that only he knows how he won and nobody else.
Ekiti people will have to live with the choice of a Governor whose sons are spendthrifts and are of questionable character just like their father…

Bishop Ayodele Joseph Oristejefor, popularly known as Papa Ayo runs an empire worth N120 billion From a humble beginning of a classroom to a warehouse, he has grown his ministry, Word of life Bible Church, Warri, Delta State, to an ultra modern 35,000 seater church auditorium which is one of the largest in the world. This structure can also seat 17,000 children and a conference centre sitting over 5,000 people. The multi-billion empire is worth about N10billion with all the ultramodern equipment therein. In view of the apostolic call upon Papa Ayo, his ministry acts as a covering to several ministries in Africa, Europe and America. Thus, he is one of the most sought after ministerial engagements.
He is adjudged one of the highest paid Pastor s. he is usually paid honorarium by his hosts. The renowned evangelist who has spent over 40 years in ministry and is also the President of the Christian association of Nigeria pockets as much as N600 million annually from honoraria. Due to the high demand for him, Papa ayo descried himself as a very ‘busy man’ and that the power of God in him and his miraculous exploit at crusades abroad have earned him recognition worldwide.
To prove that fame and wealth follows him everywhere, he was quoted to have said, “There is an island called Polo Rud in the USA. Whenever I go there, they have a governor in the Island and he attends ‘all my services’ people respect Nigeria because of some of us who preach the Gospel
As a keynote speaker, he has ministered in crusades of well over two million people .he ministers in international and local conference and seminars which have taken time to well over 100 countries and every continent of the world .That partly informed the appreciation of a Bombardier jet gift he got while celebrating his 40th anniversary in the ministries. The jet was presented to him at the church headquarters in Warri the 10 seaters Bombardier challenger, marked N431CB, is an updated version of 194 series , and it is now worth over N8 billion.
The aircraft which has range of 3900 nautical miles, is also said to have a full enclosed lavatory and flight attendant for additional comfort .
The luxury and spacious cabin of the challenger 601 is perfect to conduct meetings or simply relax. With this gift, the charismatic Pastor has joined the league of men of God who have acquired private jets.
Pastor Ayo Oristejafor was surely in a joyous mood few months back as he officially laid the foundation of his multi million naira private university project was called Eagle Heights University. Checks revealed that the project was launched on Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at omadino in Warri, Delta state. The university which will gulp over N3 billion was commissioned by president Goodluck Jonathan.
Information at our disposal disclosed that the university sits on over 20 acres of land and will include faculty buildings, lecture theatres, hostels, halls, admin buildings, sports centre, amongst others. We reliably gathered that fund is not an issue for the projects as the Christians Association Of Nigeria (CAN) president founder or Word Of Life Bible Church, Pastor Oritsejafor is blessed with the capital through his partners, connections and ministries.
Our source squealed that the first phase of the project will be concluded before the first quarters of 2015. The project is being handled by a foreign contractor designed by a foreign architect whose identity is still under wraps .And the University billboard has already been erected on the site.
Papa Ayo has several millionaires under his mentorship, both within his ministry and outside. At least, among the two million worshippers under his ministries directly and indirectly, about 100,000 of them are millionaires and very few billionaires. If 10,000 of them pay a tithe of N100,000 monthly, that will amount to about N52 billion annually .And when 100,000 of his worshippers pay an offerings of N1,000 weekly during service, that will be an average of N5.2 billion annually. That’s aside an estimated N5 billion he picks as donations annually
In 1960,he started the regular and popular television programme tagged, Hour of Deliverance, and its aired in many local and international television and satellite stations. He was the first to launch a miracle crusade(Lagos Miracle Crusade) from Africa to the whole world via satellite in 1987 with Evangelist Joe Martins. Consequently, he acquired his own satellite television called African Broadcasting Network (ABN). The station has a viewing audience of over 60 million in Europe and Africa.
According to The church’s spokesman, ‘Through these television programmes, we reach out to millions
Of people weekly with the undiluted word of God’’ The running cost, we gathered, was N20 million monthly which is about N240 million annually.
As a prolific writer and speaker, he has authored several books and tapes periodically which are always in high demand. He rakes in several millions monthly via this.
To prove that he is highly blessed, he established Eagle Flight Microfinance Bank Limited. His wife, Helen, runs the multi-million naira project.
And his success also reflects in his dress sense. For a leader of the Christian faith, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, sure shows how to shine in flamboyant and extravagant ensembles!
The robes of the President of Christian Association of Nigeria(CAN) are statements in affectation and flash.
From head to toe, usually dressed in one colour, Pastor Oritsejafor glitters and shines. And with his long necklace and crucifix, the picture of a man at home with himself complete with his walking stick, the image of an influential man can be glimpsed from kilometers away from long tunics to oriental-like jackets, the leader of the faithful loves showy attires.
Pastor Ayo Oritsejfor is a dynamic preacher. He is a Pastor, evangelist, teacher, Prophet, Apostle, and an author, with a unique anointing of God. In 1972, it was said that the lord miraculously delivered him during a crusade. Almost immediately, he felt the call of God and enrolled in the New Covenant Bible Institute, Benin City, Nigeria. While in college, he saw a vision of himself preaching to thousands of people with great power and authority and he was said to have heard the lord saying, take my world to the world. His anointed message has brought salvation, deliverance, revival, healing and outstanding miracles to millions across the world. Pastor Oritsejafor is currently the National President, Pentecostal fellowship of Nigeria (PFN).
Pastor Ayo is happily married and resides in Warri, Delta state Nigeria, with three kids. Helen Oritsejafor is the president General of the Daughters of Sarah Fellowship and Mama Helen and you, a regular talk show on ABN Africa.

Adeboye’s N550 billion Redeemed empire
Arguably, the 72 year old Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye might not be the richest clergy in Africa like Bishop Oyedepo but he runs the biggest, most successful and fastest growing church in the world known as The Redeemed Christian Church of God.
Though very humble, he sits atop over N550 billion empire widely known as RCCG. His grass to grace success story from a childhood of abject penury to a state of splendour is quite interesting. Since assuming the leadership of the church, Daddy Adeboye, as he is fondly called, has taken the ministry to an unbelievable level.
Sitting atop the world largest Christian camp known as Redemption Camp reportedly worth over 200billion, one million seater 1 kilometre auditorium worth N7.7 billion, a jet which currently put at N8 billion, a garden city tagged N1 billion, Redeemers University valued at N5 billion with its permanent site nearing completion, a reported N20 billion 3 million seater 3-kilometre auditorium, ultramodern branches scattered in over 125 countries pegged at N100billion, annual offering and tithe incredibly close to N201 billion from its over 10 million worshippers from over 15,000 branches and a host of others confirmed, that indeed he has taken the ministry to an enviable level.
He has the world’s biggest auditorium. The facility can accommodate more than a million worshippers at a time. The auditorium, which was opened by the General Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, was built at a cost of $60 million (about N7.7 billion). The auditorium, which is floored with marble is sited on a vast tract of land within the Redemption Camp. The large auditorium is built with steel and cement fibres.
ENCOMIUM Weekly scooped that the vision for the new auditorium started immediately after the 1998 Holy Ghost Congress held at Lekki, Lagos, when Adeboye realised the need for a more spacious auditorium to accommodate the millions of worshippers who thronged Lekki for the programme. The new auditorium was built by a Chinese firm.
One camp that is as popular as Daddy G.O is the Redemption Camp, along Lagos -Ibadan Expressway.
It sits atop over 40,000 hectares of land and stretches as far as Sagamu, Ogun State. Its current worth is put at N200 billion.
Those in charge of affairs at the camp didn’t mince words about the fact that it is a Christian community. “This is the city of Christians,” says the Senior Camp Maintenance Director, Pastor Dapo Adesina. As such, everything is arranged to give effect to the Christian message of the glory and splendour of the Almighty. The streets, especially at night, breathe in unsullied air from the surrounding foliage, giving the Redemption City a quality of celestial bliss. From the lampposts by the roads, silver glow on top casts a bright hallow upon the estates of buildings erected by Haggai Saving Loans, a community bank owned by RCCG.
According to RCCG website, Haggai has been able to develop over 66 units of houses and another 22 units in addition to 150 units of various types of bungalows. Other banks within the camp include Access Bank, UBA, GTB, Zenith Bank, EcoBank, etc.
For a visitor, the residential and office areas are hardly distinguishable; the place is an open city. The estate comprises duplexes, bungalows, three and four-bedroom flats owned by members of the church. On the West side of the city are the offices that handle the bureaucracy. This includes the International Office, Camp Maintenance Department, Finance and Budget Department, Finance and Auditing Department, Pre-paid meter office, Security Unit, Redeemer Clinic, Directorate of Christian Education, Rehabilitation Centre, Electrical Department, as well as the Water Department. Right at the heart of the city is the sprawling Congress Arena measuring two-kilometer (length) by one kilometre (breadth).
According to the Redeemed Camp authorities, the auditorium accommodated more than two million worshippers during the last Holy Ghost Congress. During the congress, the camp metamorphosed into a mecca of sorts, accommodating about 6 million people. The congregants came from 130 countries where RCCG branches are located. But on other days, except first Friday of the month slated for the Holy Ghost Service, Redemption Camp is a somber city. When there are no big events in the camp, the auditorium is a sanctuary for the faithful who come to pray and make supplications to God.
Within the camp, there are several other structures like the main auditorium, the Redeemer University (RUN), The Redeemed Christian Bible College, Redeemer High School, International Guest House, post office, supermarket, power station, water treatment plant, among others.
The first foundation of the Redemption City, according to the church authorities, was laid in April 1983. Prior to that time, Pastor Adeboye, who had just retired from the University of Ilorin as the Head, Department of Mathematics and was living in Mushin, Lagos was said to have prayed to God for a house.
In response, God promised him a city. Adeboye’s wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye, received revelation that the city must be built along the express road. But when a portion of land became available at Alagbado, the church could not afford the price. And since the church policy forbids borrowing, the authorities had to wait till the church could afford to foot the bill. Not long after, a portion of land near the Lagos-Ibadan expressway was available. The place was found out to be more accessible to members from other parts of the country. “And the rest, as they say, is history,” said Pastor Adesina, one of the RCCG’s officials.
Today, Redemption City is a tranquil home to a population of about 100,000 people. It is perhaps the largest Christian city in the world. Not even the Vatican City, established in 1929 and spread across 44 hectares of land, could boast of the population of the Redeemed City. Vatican City, according to CIA World Factsheet, is populated by 836 citizens, mostly priests. According to Pastor Adesina, though the Redeemed City is not patterned after the Vatican City, a sovereign entity within Rome, the city has aspiration to assume a political status in future. Residents of Redemption City participate in elections like other citizens in Ogun State, “but we do not allow political campaign in the city because we see ourselves as family members,” said Adesina.
Months back, he also embarked on a capital intensive project, the construction of N20 billion 3 kilometre auditorium which will include a light rail along the auditorium.
Furthermore, the clergy has a private jet reportedly gotten for him by some worshippers. The jet, a Gulfstream with registration no 707EA, is currently worth about N7 billion. It arrived Nigeria via the Bahamas on Sunday, March 8, 2014.
Also, the ministry has the highest record of ultra modern branches scattered across the globe. It is named the fastest growing church in the globe. Thus, in a move that was designed to catapult the ministry to greater heights in the USA, the RCCG in North America acquired a multi-million dollar property of over 250 plots in Texas. The project is arguably believed to be worth about N16 billion. And it’s just one of the mega parishes they have scattered across the over 12,000 branches. The properties are worth N100 billion, over the world. That includes a N1billion prayer garden.
Interestingly, he pastored a congregation of over 10 million members and they net in an average of N48 billion annually from the offering and 156 billion from tithe.
If the over 10 million worshippers scattered across the globe could pay N100 per week during Sunday services, the net worth annually is N48 billion and if 500,000 of them pay N1,000 weekly as tithe that’s over N156 billion per annum. Oyedepo builds first phase of N250 billion Africa’s biggest housing estate
GOSSIP: Bishop Oyedepo will soon complete the first phase of his N250 billion Africa’s biggest housing estate. ENCOMIUM Weekly’s check revealed that the billionaire clergy has been working on the project at the end of Cannan land, Ota, Ogun State far away from the prying eyes of the public.
A reliable source who is also one of the local contractors engaged by the wealthy bishop squealed to us that over 50 buildings have been constructed already and over 50 are still under construction.
The type F is the three bedroom flats of N4.9 million and several structures of type D, semi detached duplex at N24.24 million are underway. According to our source, the estate gate is behind the university.
oyedepoWe gathered that over 5000 local contractors and builders are employed, while many engineers both local and international are all working round the clock to ensure things went smoothly.
“The project has been going on silently but the Bishop is not sparing anything to ensure the project ends on time. It’s a massive project. There are many contractors, builders and engineers at work here. It’s like a city on its own. Some have been completed but the next phase is ongoing as some have reached window level while others are at the foundation level. The instruction given to us by bishop is to continue nonstop as all resources needed are on ground. The local contractors are church members who had submitted their quotations years back but due to the massive nature of the work. Other contractors are engaged outside but with a reference from a church member. In fact, we are building it very fast.”
One of the contractors who was privileged to help take a picture of one of the completed structures revealed that the completed ones have been painted already.
We reliably gathered that the housing estate was primarily handled by a Malaysian company known as Affcom Success Sendiran Berhad.
One of the anointed leaders of pentecostal churches in Nigeria, who will never stop springing surprises, is the head of Living Faith World Outreach, a.k.a Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, who, years back led the pack of churches with private universities with world class Covenant University, which boasts of architectural masterpiece buildings. He has since established another called Landmark University in his hometown of Omu Aran, Kwara State. The sprawling Winners Chapel headquarters in Ota, Ogun State, which can sit 50,000 worshippers at a time was also another first from the sophisticated pastor.
The latest surprise package from the celebrated man of God is the construction of a N250 billion housing estate in a vast 5,000 acres of land in Ota, Ogun State. The architect-turned pastor has reportedly concluded arrangement to start work on the proposed housing estate, which will be largely occupied by the faithful of Winners Chapel, who throng the Ota headquarters of the church weekly for worship services.
The estates come in types. Type A known as Villa and it’s from N4.5 million. Each unit of this will have garden villas, personified bungalow at its finest. It’s where luxury meets affordability and desires are met. It would be a home for perfect retreat for peace and harmony.
The Type B is called, Detached Duplex and it’s from N 37.1 million, and is designed with the concept of space, practicality and movement. “Truly, a work of art nested in a low-density of boutique duplex to give a sanctuary built to evoke tranquility and at one with nature,” said our source.
Type C is Semi-detached Duplex, it has a price range of N24.2 million, and is designed with the concept of space, practicality and movement.
Duplex Terrace is the Type D. This goes for N15.2 million each. This unique double storey terrace house consists 4 bedrooms, an inter-locking space of living and dining area which create dynamic and spacious feeling, with separate airy kitchen and drying yard. The façade of the house is treated with clean straight lines. The distinctive porch for two cars provides an undulating flow through the overall development.
Type E is Luxury Apartment, and buyers must be ready to part with at least N 24.6 million. This is an integrated modern life style with modern living and with essential facilities.
Type F is known as Standard Apartment and it goes for N 8.2 million and is introducing park setting home designed with the concept of space, practicality and movement.
Affordable Apartment is the name of Type G and it is worth N 4.9 million. This is an apartment with encouraging community living designed with the concept of safe and practical with central open space playground.
Investigations revealed that the land for the 15,000 residential estate was acquired by the church few years back and it’s a 8000 acre of land that will stretch from Ota to parts of Sango that leads to Lagos State. Resources for the construction of the estate are said to be on ground as the man of God always finds a way around all his pet projects.
“Bishop is passionate about this project just like others before it. He doesn’t believe that anything is impossible. You may be looking at the money that it is much, but Daddy will source it. He has done it before. He believes that as a child of God, you must be ready to move mountains. The estate is a progressive project, people come from far places to attend service in the church, so it would be better to accommodate them here and it would be easy for them to come for services,” said a source.
An observer, however, faulted the high cost of the buildings in the proposed estate. The fellow, who preferred anonymity, said the prices of the buildings show they are for the rich. He added that churches should consider the poor whenever they embark on such projects since Jesus Christ took care of the poor.
All the same, Bishop Oyedepo has continued to show that he is a different kind of cleric who thinks big and does big things, no matter the odds. And with the proposed estate, the world is about to see another side of the renowned cleric.
David Olaniyan Oyedepo was born on September 27, 1954 in Osogbo, Osun State to Ibrahim Oyedepo a Muslim healer and native of Omu-Aran and Dorcas, a member of the Eternal Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement (C&S) also from Kwara State.

Bishop cries out; I’m not barred from UK
ENCOMIUM MAGAZINE – Contrary to the widespread rumoured that Bishop David Oyedepo has been barred from entering the United Kingdom over allegations of fraud rocking his ministry abroad, the fiery clergy has denied it.
If you have missed this: Bishop Oyedepo Barred From UK? See alleged evidence
The amiable bishop through one of his spokespersons who refused to divulged his identity on Friday, August 15, 2014, claimed such reports are unfounded and baseless without any iota of truth in it.
“It’s nothing but blatant lie and falsehood.” Also, on Sunday, August 17, 2014, a spokesperson for the airliners, Mrs. Salma said there was no such information as Airline Alert against Bishop David Oyedepo.
Another source who spoke to ENCOMIUM Weekly under the condition of anonymity equally said it was the handiwork of mischievous people.” Did you notice the false document was not even signed?”
Nigerian pastor, preacher and founder of Faith Ministries otherwise known as Winners’ Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo was reportedly barred from entering the United Kingdom by the British Home Office following the commencement of investigations into his affairs by the UK Charities Commission.
Bishop Oyedepo, popularly known as Papa by his followers, has been under investigation by the Charities Commission since 2012. Investigators are looking into the activities of his Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel, and the way it gets money from parishioners.
Preliminary enquiries have accused the UK branch of Winners Chapel, run by Bishop Oyedepo’s son, of cynically exploiting supporters. As a result of the investigation, the Home Office has instructed the British High Commission in Abuja to issue what is known as an Airline Alert, which bars any carrier from bringing him into the UK.
It was reported that a source at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos, said that the barring of Bishop Oyedepo, was communicated to the airlines on Saturday, 9 August, 2014. According to the contents of the Airline Alert that has the pastor’s passport photograph glued on it, any airline that flouts the ban and transports Bishop Oyedepo to the UK, is liable to a fine of £2,000.
David O. Oyedepo is reputed to be the richest pastor in Nigeria. He is the senior pastor of Faith Tabernacle, a 50,000 seat church auditorium, reported to be the largest church auditorium in the world by the Guinness Book of Records.
Bishop Oyedepo holds a UK C visa that allows him entry into the country for 10 years, so ordinarily would not have any problem travelling at will. He also owns four private jets, so it is not yet clear what will happen if he decides to travel in using his own transport.
Authorities in the UK are concerned about the manner in which Bishop Oyedepo’s church raises money from unsuspecting, naive and gullible members of the public. According to preliminary findings, Bishop Oyedepo’s church ‘received £16.7m (N4.5 billion) in donations from followers who were told that God would give them riches in return.
Charity Commission officials also found out that his followers are ferried in double-decker shuttle buses to the church, handed slips inviting them to make debit card payments. They are even told obeying the ministry’s teachings will make them immune from illness and many of them oblige.
Nigeria’s oldest pastor dies at 114 years
According to report, the pastor have died in a Lagos hospital after complications relating to old age.
But when newsmen sought confirmation from the church in Gbagada area of Lagos, security personnel at the church and other church workers denied the report even as condolence register has already been opened yesterday at his resident
However, late last night our reporter confirmed that the oldest preacher had indeed passed on at the age of 114.
One of the senior pastors at the church, Femi Atode, said though the church’s President was receiving treatment in hospital, there was no indication that he had passed on.
According to Atode, for the past five years, Pa Sadela who turned 114 years recently did not miss church programmes until last Sunday. He said the information regarding his death was mere speculation by members of the public.
‘’It is a mere speculation that the old man is dead. Though he is aged, he still performed his church roles until last Sunday.
“Perhaps people are apprehensive that he was absent last Sunday, but believe me, the man is alive but hospitalised.
“If such a thing has happened, the church would have announced it,” Atode, who described the oldest preacher in Nigeria as a man with a large heart, said the summer coaching he started is on-going (pointing to a near-by building).
“I believe the place would have been locked if the founder is dead. He instructed us to start a summer coaching since 1992 and thousands of students have benefited from this without paying a penny.
“Baba was once advised to collect a token from the students but he refused, saying the gift of God is free. Also, the church runs a free evening coaching for Jambites and this has made immense contribution to residents’’, he noted.
Pa Sadela, a native of Ifon, Ondo State established the church in 1972 under the instruction of the founder of Christ Apostolic Church, Apostle Joseph Babalola, and the church has attracted people from far and wide.
His pastoral calling started in 1928 when he visited the famous Prophet Moses Orimolade of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church.
When he marked his 113th last year birthday, the aged pastor had expressed hope to live up to 200 years of age.
He had said “I feel happy to be this old. Actually, I feel like a young man. I still enjoy my meal of Iyan (pounded yam), Eba and bush meat. I sleep whenever I want to and wake up stronger I want to live longer to prove to all that God remains the same as He was in times past. If Methuselah could live for 969 years, God can make me live well beyond 113. If Noah could be 950, it is not too much for Him to make me live up to 200.”
Even if that wish was not granted, Sadela left an indelible imprint in the hearts of his members and admirers around the world.
The cleric, who claimed angels taught him to read the Holy Bible when he was only two years of age, raised not a few eye brows when he married a 30-year-old woman in 2007.
“The Lord is my strength. I am very strong and energetic,” he was quoted as saying after the wedding in Lagos.
According to reports, he first got married in 1934, with the marriage lasting for 21 years, but none of the couple’s seven children reportedly lived beyond their infancy. A second marriage, said to have been consummated in 1965, was blessed with four children, but only two survived. His second wife died in 2001.
A native of Ondo State, Sadela attended St. Paul’s Anglican Primary School, Ifon, Osun State, but had to drop out when he travelled to Sapele, Delta State to work as houseboy to one Captain Pullen, a District Officer.
Sadela however retraced his steps in 1918 and completed his Standard six education in 1920.

Nigeria’s oldest pastor dies at 114yrs amidst controversy
