Rihanna Stuns in Barely There Adam Selman Dress At the CFDA Awards

Since she was announced the CFDA’s Fashion Icon awardee we’ve been counting the days and waiting to see what she would wear. With no Instagram account to stalk (badgalriri’s account was twice taken down for her racy pictures) it’s been a long wait but now it’s over and she certainly knows how to make a statement.

Her choice was a remarkably sheer,  barely there, custom made Adam Selman gown, covered from top to bottom in over 230,000 Swarovski crystals with matching sheer gloves,  a sparkly head wrap, a pink Pologeorgis fur stole, Manolo Blahnik heels, a ring and earrings by Paul Morelli, and a pinky ring by Jacob.
The look is absolute, old school glamour and over the top with  hints of Josephine baker and Cher in the Bob Mackie days and Rhihanna kills it!

Rihanna often wears pieces by the designer who Selman, who has created custom tour costumes for Rihanna since 2011 and also co-designed her River Island capsule. In collaboration with her stylist (and also his boyfriend) Mel Ottenberg, they are responsible for putting together this look and many other in her signature daring, revealing style. I can’t say we have any complaints!
