My rift with Bode George phantom to stir disunity ahead 2015 – Obanikoro

Former Minister of State for Defence and PDP Lagos gubernatorial aspirant, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro has refuted claims by a group called Lagos Integrity Watch, accusing him of attacking Chief Bode George for partisanship in the recently concluded PDP ward congresses in the state.

Senator Obanikoro, in a statement on Wednesday, by Ohimai Amaize, his Special Adviser on Media Strategy, disclaimed the report noting that it was a clear ploy to destabilize the Lagos State PDP and cause disunity and disaffection in the party in the run up to the Lagos 2015 gubernatorial elections.

"At no time did Senator Obanikoro engage or accuse Chief Bode George of partisanship or interference in the Lagos PDP ward congresses. Social media comments or opinions by individuals speaking for themselves do not in anyway represent the personal views of Senator Obanikoro", he said.

"We are well aware that this is a critical time in the history of Lagos PDP and hired agents of propaganda will want to seize the opportunity to wreak havoc. Senator Obanikoro acknowledges the great role that Chief Bode Gorge is playing to foster unity, equity and fair play as the father of PDP in Lagos State," Senator Obanikoro said.

Senator Obanikoro reiterated his conviction that there is no crisis in Lagos PDP as all major stakeholders in the party are aware of the fact that a disunited Lagos PDP is in nobody's interest. He urged PDP party faithfuls to unite behind the party leadership to wrest power from the elitist and corruption-ridden government of APC in Lagos State.

Falconet player, Dike rejects N1.2m World Cup bonus

Super Falconet player, Courtney Dike has turned down the N1.2m ($7,000) bonus given to each player as bonus for playing in the 2014 FIFA U20 Women World Cup.

Dike who plays for Oklahoma State Football who rejected the money on the ground that the honour of playing for the country was enough reward for her.

The 19-year-old, who is the younger sister of Super Eagles forward Bright Dike, represented the country at the competition where she scored the fastest goal in the tournament's history.

NFF Head of Competition Sanusi Mohammed told Sports Radio, Brila FM, that the player rejected the outstanding allowances accrued to her for representing the country at the 10-day tournament.

Sanusi told Brila FM, "When we called her mother to confirm the delivery of the allowances, she declined it and insisted that the opportunity of playing for Nigeria was all the reward the family needed."

Dike's elder brother, Bright, featured for Nigeria at the 2013 Confederations Cup in Brazil but missed the 2014 World Cup by a foot injury which side-lined him for four months.

Meanwhile, the head of the Nigeria Women League board Dilichukwu Onyedinma has said the player deserves a national award for her patriotic act.

The Women's league boss told Football live, a programme on Brila FM, that what Dike did was worth emulating by other players in the country.

Dilichukwu told Football live, "She is a star and patriotic Nigerian who put service to her fatherland above money. The minister is aware and we will push the act before the NFF so it can inspire many others."

She added, "Doing this with the backing of her parents, Courtney Dike should be applauded and perhaps celebrated."

Wilson Orma runs mad after being duped N1.2billion by pastor and associates

There are reports which just surfaced online that former Golden Eagles Captain/Super Eagles star player, Wilson Oruma, lost his mind for two years while battling with insanity after he was duped by fraudsters introduced to him by a Lagos-based frontline Pentecostal Pastor, (name withheld) whose church (name withheld) is located in the Surulere area of the state.

In a report by New Telegraph Online,Oruma's travail started in 2012 when the Pastor in question invited the former victorious Golden Eaglets captain to a private meeting in the church to discuss the possibility of investing heavily into what he described as a lucrative business where he promised to invite the mega bucks investors to the church a week later. A date was fixed for this.

It was at the second meeting, it was gathered that the former Atlanta 96 Olympic gold medallists was introduced to some well-dressed gentlemen who were said to be in possession of some oil blocks they were ready to sell to the rich ex-international. Oruma, who acted alone without consultation with any of his lawyers and his close friend, Mr. Emakpor Dibofun, believed the story of the fraudsters and never suspected any foul play as they were introduced by his Pastor.

He was advised to invest heavily so as to yield heavy profit. The two-time African Nations Cup bronze medallist, withdrew funds from all his investments across Europe in three months and withdrew his life savings to ensure he pumped enough money into the oil business. He did not suspect any foul play as the Pastor kept assuring him that, the people are credible and are God fearing business investors.

In all, Oruma paid a whopping N1.2billion into the dedicated bank account given to him to make payments which he did over six months. The ex-soccer star that played alongside Frank Ribery and Samir Nasri in his days at Olympique Marseille FC of France started suspecting foul play when he did not hear from the people again and they failed to pick their mobile phones on days scheduled for important updates. He ran to his Pastor for possible succour and reassurance that all was well, but instead the Pastor rebuffed Oruma and told him that, he was a full-time minister of God who knew nothing about oil business, but only introduced him to those he believed could help make his business empire larger.

The Pastor asked if he was involved in the business dealings all the while and the answer was a capital no. He thus divorced himself from any blames leaving the soccer star to lick his own wounds but he was not strong enough to withstand the attendant psychological pressure. A few weeks after this ordeal, Oruma started behaving funny. He started talking to himself and had hot altercations with his wife at their Victoria Garden City home in Lagos.

It was gathered that, it was after one of the series of altercations with his wife who blamed him for the family's misfortune and huge loss of money that Oruma busted out of their home in VGC and stormed a popular supermarket where he destroyed valuables. He was wrestled to the floor, with his legs and hands tied to avoid further destruction.

From this day in 2012, Oruma's unstable mind became pronounced. His close friend, Emakpor with his hands and legs tied took the soccer star to a church in Warri, Delta state for spiritual healing. After destroying valuables in the church, Oruma escaped to his VGC home in Lagos where he continued to disturb residents. It was also learnt that with his unstable mind, he gave out one of his expensive SUVs worth N14million to a friend who speedily drove away the vehicle.

To avoid further embarrassments of VGC residents, Oruma's family agreed to take him to his Suru-Lere home near Brown Street in Aguda, Lagos where secret treatments continued. He was first taken to the church where he was duped, which was nearby his Aguda home. Here, the culprit pastor after some failed attempts to heal the player advised that he should be taken back home as Oruma had been hit by a strange mental illness which defiled all known treatments.

The ex-international was tied and closely monitored in his Aguda home for over one year as the family sought spiritual healing for him. The player, who started his football career at Tamuno Babes FC of Warri, was not taken to an orthodox mental hospital in his family's attempt to conceal his ailment from the public.

Oruma suffered untold hardship for two years as his family with the help of his close friend and former teammate, Emakpor Dibofun, took him to number Pentecostal churches in Lagos seeking spiritual healing. The much desired healing eventually came few weeks ago when he was given a clean bill of health as he overcame the mental illness. He has started walking again as the sores on his legs from long period of being tied down in one place are healing fast.

In the words of Oruma's kid brother, Dominic a former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles goalkeeper; "Wilson is recovering fast, he now recognizes his family members and he has returned to his house in VGC under the care of his wife. We are very happy about this. It was not easy seeing him suffer so much in the last two years after his money was taken away. We give God the glory for the gift of healing.

"He has told us not to press charges against the pastor who brought fraudsters to dupe him heavily as he said the incident is now in the past. Another good thing is that all his properties are intact and most of his major investments are doing fine." Oruma was captain of the Nigeria Under-17 team that won the 1993 FIFA U-17 World Cup where he emerged the tournament's top goal scorer with six goals. He played 19 international matches over 11 years for Nigeria and was part of the team that participated in the 1998 FIFA World Cup, where he scored in the only appearance he made in the tournament against Paraguay. He was also a part of the squad that won the Olympic gold medal in 1996, a year after he debuted for Nigeria.

He played for the Eagles at the 2002 and 2006 Africa Cup of Nations, finishing both competitions at third place. Oruma played most of his club career in France, after arriving at RC Lens in 1994. He was loaned to Nancy a year after. He returned to Lens and played in their 1997-98 Ligue 1 title campaign.

He moved to Turkish side Samsunspor in 1998 and returned to France one year later to play for Nîmes. In 2000, he was transferred to Swiss side Servette, played two seasons before coming back to France again, where he played until 2009 for Sochaux, Marseille and Guingamp, winning the 2003-04 Coupe de la Ligue with Sochaux and the 2008-09 Coupe de France title with Guingamp. The former Nigerian international announced his retirement from football at the age of 33 on November 26, 2010.

He last played his international football for Kavala FC of Greece, before bidding farewell to football

PDP senators declare total WAR on Jonathan, party; threatens impeachment, emulate Tambuwal

Senator, on Tuesday, began what has been described as protest sittings as a result of what they called undemocratic hijack of the structures of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) by state governors, through Saturday's ward congresses across states of the federation.

The senators, who sat on Tuesday, did not consider any issue on the order paper, as they merely converged, opened the session and immediately adjourned.

Sources in the Senate said the same situation would be repeated henceforth, adding that the lawmakers had discovered that they were seen as inconsequential by both the PDP and the Presidency.

"This is the chamber that has done a lot to stabilise the polity. This is the chamber that stood by Mr President and gave him all the powers to become acting president and then president. But the president has shown that the sacrifices of this set of lawmakers are not appreciated.

"The party has ensured that more than two thirds of the senators will not return and many will be replaced by the governors. Remember, it was the class of governors that did everything to thwart the Doctrine of Necessity," a senator said.

The anger in the Senate grew to a hilt, following reports that most of the PDP senators had been schemed out of reckoning by state governors in the just-concluded ward congresses, which had laid the foundation for their routing at the senatorial primaries.

The same fate was said to have befallen PDP members in the House of Representatives, where it was said that four-fifth of them had already been schemed out of returning to the National Assembly in 2015.

Anger further grew as some of the senators, who had defected to the rival All Progressives Congress (APC), started mocking their PDP colleagues on the floor.

One of the PDP senators quoted an APC lawmaker as saying that those who defected to the opposition party saw the defeat of the PDP senators coming.

"We saw that the PDP does not value us and that President Jonathan is only interested in the governors. Now that you people have been thrown away, we in the APC are better off. We are now in a position to determine your political fate," a PDP senator quoted a colleague, who recently defected to the APC, as saying.

The PDP senators were, however, supported by their APC colleagues, who promptly backed the motion for adjournment.

The senators said they would continue to open the chamber, approve the votes and proceedings and adjourn until further notice.

"Since they said we are inconsequential, they should bring the governors to come and do our legislative business. We will no longer consider any legislative business," a senator said.

The situation was also worsened by the refusal of the Ministry of Finance to release the quarterly allowances of the senators and members of the House of Representatives.

A source said that the Minister of Finance, Dr (Mrs) Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, is one of the ministers who have procured more enemies for President Goodluck Jonathan by delaying funds meant for the running of National Assembly.

Besides the allowances of the lawmakers, the staff of National Assembly had also not been paid their October salaries, while their leave allowances and other legislative allowances had not been paid.

The same scenario happened in the last quarter, with Chairmen of Senate and House Services almost practically sleeping in the Ministry of Finance.

A senator said the delay in payment of their third quarter allowances was deliberate and meant to strip them bare, ahead of the ward congresses of PDP.

The senator said the delay in releasing their allowances since the first week of October was meant to empower the governors to rout them at the congresses.

"Now that the deed has been done, they will now release our allowances, we know the game they are playing," the lawmaker said.

Sources in the Senate also said that by December 3, the entire National Assembly could come under the control of APC, as most of the senators and members of the House of Representatives rejected by the PDP would defect.

Sources confirmed that the development was being oiled by the APC, which is offering blanket tickets to the lawmakers.

It was confirmed that leaders of the APC had reached out to PDP senators and members of the House of Representatives, asking them to pick the forms for free and also get their elections bankrolled by the party.

Aggrieved senators also said on Tuesday that they may pay a solidarity visit to the defected Speaker of the House of Representatives, Honourable Aminu Tambuwal.

Senators also said on Tuesday that they could not rule out floating an impeachment proceeding against President Jonathan, if the leadership of the National Assembly comes under the control of APC.

He said the National Assembly, especially the senators, had a number of issues that could be classified as impeachable offences.

Tinubu receives yet another achievement award from South Africa (photos)

Osoba, Gov. Amosun’s deputy, all 3 Senators dumps APC to SDP as Ogun crisis deepens

The crisis rocking the Ogun State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has taken a turn for the worse, with the state's deputy governor, Mr. Segun Adesegun, and former governor of the state and Ogun APC Leader, Chief Olusegun Osoba, dumping the party to climax their quarrel with Governor Ibikunle Amosun.

Osoba on Monday unofficially declared for the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

He defected alongside Adesegun, members of the National Assembly, including the three Senators representing the state, Alhaji Adegbenga Kaka, Akin Odunsi and Gbenga Obadara.

Members of the House of Representatives were Honourables Abiodun Abudu-Balogun, Bukola Buraimoh, Adekunle Adeyemi, Olumide Osoba and Babatunde Ogunola.

Three members of the state House of Assembly loyal to Osoba, namely Honourables Elizabeth Anifowose, Femi Allen-Taylor and Daisi Elemide, equally defected with their political master.

Speaking on the development, Kaka, representing Ogun East, said all those loyal to Osoba had defected from the APC to SDP.

He said the party was introduced to the people of Imeko-Afon and Yewa North during a sensitisation meeting.

"There is hope in our new party. We were all at Imeko-Afon and Ayetoro on Monday, to introduce the party to our people. You can imagine the support and acceptability we received from the people. I am very sure that our party will spring surprises in the coming elections. For us, we have moved on," Kaka said.

Kaka said many of them had shown interest to contest on the platform of the party with a strong assurance that the party would win all elective posts.

Dangote blasted for slashing down cement price to N1000

Following price slash of Dangote Cement from a whooping N1700 per bag to N1000 per bag, a popular popular Television Presenter, Sola Salako has criticized the move by the richest Nigeria's business mogul, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, saying it was aimed at killing other competitors.
"I hear Dangote just singlehandedly, crashed the price of cement to N1,000 from N1,700! Obviously, this is another move in the attempt to stifle competition coming on the heels of getting SON to re-grade cement classification in its favour via political patronage."

While this seems like a benefit for consumers in the short term, I fear it is very inimical to growth in that sector in the long term. The few competing brands may eventually close down if they don't survive the price war after emerging bruised from the pseudo classification battle. More unemployment looms…"

Just as Dangote has the singular power to determine pricing downwards, who will challenge him when he pushes price to N3,000 after he has successfully run competition out of the market?"

"This is akin to a rat nibbling away at your feet and blowing soothing air so you don't feel it…until it hits blood!"

"Nothing to rejoice about here if we are long term oriented people, unfortunately, Nigerians are not, so…."

Do you agree with her?

Soyinka Denounces Jonathan Support Group Over Fabricated Report

Nobel Laureate Wole Soyinka has strongly denounced one of the groups campaigning for President Goodluck Jonathan's reelection for attributing a fabricated report to him. The offensive report, published online by the Jonathan group, was titled, "The North Must Stop Bombing Nigeria & Blaming Jonathan – Prof. Wole Soyinka".

The report quoted the Nobel laureate as stating, "If the United States citizens decide to be bombing the USA everyday and ready to die, there is nothing Obama can do about it. The only thing he can do is to urge citizens to report bad people. If citizens refuse to report evil people then there is nothing anyone can do. The only thing he can do is to urge citizens to report bad people. If citizens refuse to report evil people then there is nothing anyone can do."

The fabricated report, which is full of grammatical errors, continued: "Here in the USA in Chicago to be precise more than 10 people are killed everyday and that's the same thing. I am only worried that this is Abuja.

President Jonathan's support group further credited the professor with stating, "There are people in power in certain parts of the country, leaders, who quite genuinely and authoritatively hate and cannot tolerate any religion outside their own. When you combine that with the ambitions of a number of people who believe they are divinely endowed to rule the country and who believe that their religion is above whatever else binds the entire nation together, and somehow the power appears to slip from their hands, then they resort to the most extreme measures. Youths who have been indoctrinated right from infancy can be used, and who have been used, again and again to create mayhem in the country. Those who have created this faceless army have lost control."

In a reaction obtained by SaharaReporters, an obviously outraged Professor Soyinka described the attempt by the "Goodluck Support Network" to link him to the spurious report as "unscrupulous, disgusting and cowardly."

He also stated that the group must be truly desperate to resort to despicable tactics of fabrication.

"This is an unscrupulous, disgusting and cowardly fabrication," said Professor Soyinka, adding, '"The Goodluck Support Network' must be truly desperate to resort to such despicable tactics."

Campaign groups close to President Jonathan have notoriously cloned websites, including SaharaReporters.com, and attributed a series of false statements to various people in a bid to whip up sentiments against the president's political opponents or to portray the president as the victim of a vast conspiracy by northern political groups.

El-Rufai Formally Declares, Buhari Says His Governorship Will Solve Kaduna Problems

General Muhammadu Buhari this afternoon in Kaduna declared total support for Mallam Nasir El-Rufai's governorship ambition in Kaduna state in 2015 elections.

Speaking at the El-Rufai's public declaration, Buhari, who addressed the audience said the people of the state needs El-Rufai to rescue the state from bad leadership and decay,.

Buhari said "I am here to ask deliberately for your support for El-Rufai, he is the right man to fix Kaduna right. He is courageous and has what it takes to perform. He is the solution to your problems; you need sincere and competent leaders like him."

El-Rufai in his address said, "I consulted widely with people –from traditional rulers, respected elders and public officials that can speak out, as well as ordinary people who have no voice but rely on someone to speak for them. My purpose was to listen to the people and understand what they wanted from the state government and how the government and the people can work together to develop our state.
"To say that I was shocked by the level of neglect is an understatement.

Our road networks have fallen into disrepair; our schools have no basic teaching and learning tools; our teachers are not motivated; our hospitals and clinics lack essential resources to mitigate the challenges of healthcare and our civil servants are not being sufficiently motivated.

Poverty has become worse; unemployment has become more pervasive; agricultural productivity has declined; internally generated revenues are too low to even pay salaries. The picture is indeed very bleak."

Below is his full speech:

Kaduna Will Be Great Again

Speech delivered by Malam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai on November 3rd, 2014 at his Formal Declaration to Run for Governor of Kaduna State

Protocols:

My Dear People of Kaduna State,

Over the last few months, I have traversed all the 23 local government areas in Kaduna State and visited tens of communities. Some of the places I visited were so remote, isolated and cut off from government that it would have been difficult to believe that they were part of Kaduna State.

I consulted widely with people –from traditional rulers, respected elders and public officials that can speak out, as well as ordinary people who have no voice but rely on someone to speak for them. My purpose was to listen to the people and understand what they wanted from the state government and how the government and the people can work together to develop our state.

To say that I was shocked by the level of neglect is an understatement. The picture is indeed very bleak.

Kaduna State, which used to be known for its industries, now barely has flourishing or profitable factories.. Even basic sanitation is absent because Kaduna and most of our local government area headquarters are being overtaken by garbage.

What I saw in the course of my visits and consultations and what both leading politicians and the people told me further reaffirmed my commitment to the decision I made to devote the rest of my life to public service as a way of giving back to the community; to working with my brothers and sisters across Kaduna State and beyond to uplift our state; to building a united state; driving out poverty and making Kaduna the first among equals in Nigeria.

Ladies and gentleman, we must move Kaduna State from a state where people live in mutual suspicion; where few people feel safe or secure and where nothing gets done. It is disheartening that Kaduna State which used to be a melting pot of religions, cultures and industry has become a battlefield of ethnic and religious divisions due to incessant conflicts, denial of opportunities and relentless narrowing of the space for political freedom and expression. We now have a state where a small self-centered clique controls the state's resources while the generality of Kaduna people are excluded from political and economic opportunities.

Today, our state is littered with uncompleted projects, discarded plans and broken promises.

But we are too good for that; the people of Kaduna state are too educated, too talented and too crucial to Nigeria to remain under the current state of poor leadership and lack of direction. We need to come together, overcome the politics of division and harness our energies around a cause that would lift us out of the quagmire of political division and economic inertia.

As we are today, who can tell me what has been done with the hundreds of billions of naira that Kaduna State has received from the federation account in the last seven years or so? What old projects have been completed? What new ones have been initiated? What plans are in place for the future? Indeed, do we even have a future in Kaduna State under the current administration?

Evidently, the answer is NO!

Ladies and gentlemen, we cannot deny that the stagnation in Kaduna State at present is mainly because the goodwill of the people and our resources are being mismanaged.

However, we will not, and must not allow the incompetence of the current PDP government to drag us down. The reign of underdevelopment and incompetence must be ended immediately. Kaduna State is more important than one small clique that seeks to hold us to ransom and stunt our prospects. We must rise to the challenge, come together and take our destiny in our hands.

That means we must first make conscious efforts by ourselves. My dear people of Kaduna State, what can we do to improve our circumstances? Can we continue to watch nonchalantly as a few individuals destroy our state and mortgage the future of our children?

The people of Kaduna state have the power to bring about meaningful change. We have the power to free our state from corruption, greed, nepotism and incompetence. That power is guaranteed in your right to vote. And that power must be used judiciously to throw out the gross incompetence being demonstrated by those in authority today. That power is what we must use in 2015 to elect leaders that have the desire and will to move Kaduna State to the path of unity, peace, progress and prosperity.

Today, I stand before you to offer a hand of brotherhood and partnership in the mission to make Kaduna State great again. Let's work together, man, woman, child, old and young; in the journey to knock down ethnic and religious divisions. I ask you to join me to chase out poverty forever; I ask you to join to build our state and make Kaduna great again.

The question is, what does Nasir El-Rufai have to offer Kaduna State?

As I told my brothers in FadanKagoma a few weeks ago, my vision for Kaduna State is to provide true public service with fairness, equity and justice, and on responsive and sensitive leadership to take the state to another level. I am deeply committed to the peace, development and unity of Kaduna State, and our APC administration will show equal concern for the interest of every person that is resident in our state.

Kaduna state is dear to me. I was educated in this state, from primary school to university. After graduation, I practiced my profession here in Kaduna for 15 years before I accepted responsibility to serve in the public sector. I appreciate our problems and together with our party leaders at ward, local government and state levels, we will run a responsible and participatory government.

Ladies and gentlemen, whether you are a Muslim or Christian; whether you are Hausa, Adara, Fulani, Bajju, Atyap, Ggagyi, Jaba or any of the numerous ethnic groups in the mini-Nigeria that is Kaduna State, I urge every one of our nearly eight million people to join me in the mission to make Kaduna State first among equals.

One thing that I promise to bring to the office of the Governor of Kaduna State is experience, both from the private and public sectors. In all my different engagements in the public and private sectors, I have always successfully carried out any task assigned to me. When I was given the task of restoring order to the chaos that was creeping into Abuja, not many people gave me the chance of succeeding, yet with the support of committed civil servants and political appointees, we did. Our record in Abuja shows teamwork can lead to phenomenal results.

In Abuja we constructed needed infrastructure, promoted transparency and due process. More than 27,000 Nigerians became landowners without having to bribe or lobby any official. All they did was to have complied with the land-application process. Many more - over 30,000 Nigerians - were able to buy homes by similarly complying with the rules for the purchase of government houses in Abuja.

We all can agree that Kaduna State must change for the better. If we really want change in the state, we must recognize agents of change and appreciate their vision, mission and courage to deliver. I urge you all to look at the current disorder in Kaduna State, and ask yourselves: Who has the courage, capacity and competence to clean up the mess?

I believe the APC can and will deliver that change. I am confident that our APC Kaduna Team represented here, and backed by our ideological leader, General MuhammaduBuhari, can provide the leadership to lift Kaduna State out of the debt, despair and despondency that the ruling party has thrown us into.

We will not shy away from taking difficult decisions as long as the people of Kaduna State agree that it is for the good of all. For us in Kaduna State therefore, 2015 will be a defining moment. For those worrying about the demolitions that took place in Abuja, let me assure our people that Kaduna and Abuja are completely different in history, growth and priorities. We did what needed to be done in Abuja to make it a true national capital. In contrast, what Kaduna needs are better schools, health facilities and productive farms in an atmosphere of improved peace and security. That will be the focus of APC's efforts not the scaremongering of impending demolitions!

We shall foster an environment of security of lives and property by tackling the roots of intolerance and communal violence. We shall make a priority of Transparent Governance and Improved Service Delivery by reenergizing and empowering the public service. We shall rebuild and expand water supply, rural electrification, and roads infrastructure. Our government will invest in our people by improving capacity and delivery in Health, Education and Social Welfare. We shall energetically promote Agriculture and Food Security, while implementing Land Reform as a basis for wealth creation and capital formation.

The APC Kaduna Team will implement reforms that will create a transparent and responsible local government system, that is properly funded, autonomous and technically-strengthened to be responsive and capable of delivering services at the grassroots. We are poised to take advantage of our state's proximity to Abuja by developing new towns in locations neighboring the federal capital territory.

We are at a crossroads of risks and opportunities in our nation and our state. The choice we make in 2015 will determine whether our nation succeeds or fails. We believe that we can make Kaduna great again. I ask for your support so that we can make it happen together. We conclude with a prayer.

We pray that God chooses for Nigeria the leadership that will bring peace, prosperity and progress to our nation. We believe that General Muhammadu Buhari is that leader. We pray that God chooses for Kaduna State a governor that will usher in peace, prosperity and development in our state. We believe our team is the best placed to do this. However, the Almighty God knows best, and in the event that another aspirant for governorship is better, we pray that He chooses him or her. All our team cares about is peaceful coexistence and progress in Kaduna State. So help us God!

Thank you for honoring us with your presence. God Bless you.
