The woman in the 20 naira note
The woman in the picture and on the N20 note is Ladi Kwali. Nigeria's best known potter who was awarded a Doctorate and was made MBE in 1963 for the level of detail and skill she utilized while making her pots.
Wait, is this where the symbol on the new N100 came from?
The pic on the right is supposedly the colonial flag of Nigeria. That symbol looks very similar to the
controversial one on the new N100 note. YOU think...?

Tambuwal: Agbakoba, other SANs seek IG dismissal
The APC in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said Abba had shown that he was ‘partisan’ and would not be able to ensure a free and fair election next year.
The statement partly read, “‘Abba is presiding over perhaps the most-partisan police force ever in the history of our nation. He has thrown professionalism, neutrality and fairness to the winds and made the police a willing tool in the hands of a frenzied executive. He cannot be trusted to ensure a level-playing field for all parties at the next general elections, hence he should be removed immediately.”

BREAKING: Obasanjo bombs Jonathan again, says President’s “evil” actions destroying Nigerian democracy
Speaking at a book Launch in honour of the pioneer chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission, ICPC, Mustapha Akanbi, in Abuja, Mr. Obasanjo, who is the Chairman of the occasion, said the president should stop encouraging ‘verbal violence which may not physically hurt but has ways of degenerating into physical violence’.
Mr. Obasanjo said the greatest indictment against any administration is to be seen trying to destroy opposition of all sorts which invariably mean destroying democracy.
