Some people can literally fall asleep anywhere. Including in a hammock suspended thousands of feet in the air.We can’t get over the pictures from the International Highline Meeting held on September 8. The event took place in the northern Italian alps at Monte Piana, near Misurina, and gathered extreme slackline enthusiasts from around the world.
They don’t have pillows, but the view definitely makes up for it. (Photo: EPA)
Most meetings take place in stuffy conference rooms with lukewarm coffee and stale doughnuts. This meeting takes places on top of mountains. During the day, highliners tightrope walk from one mountain to another via thin ropes measuring just 2.5 centimeters thick. And that’s not even the most extreme part. At night, they sleep in hammocks suspended thousands of feet in the air. It sounds like an adventure alright, especially if you’re a restless sleeper.
This is the third year for the event which was previously held in Ostrov, Czech Republic.
