And now fresh revelations are coming in from popular Nigerian journalist, Ahmed Salkida, who is known to have connections to the terrorist group Boko Haram. He has revealed that the Nigerian government is withholding information from the public regarding the cease-fire deal it claims to have reached with the terrorist sect.

From his Twitter handle @ContactSalkida, Salkida states that recent investigation into the agreement show that nothing has been done concretely to ensure safety in the northeast.

Patience Jonathan stay away from our activities

Some PDP leaders in Oyo State have kicked against a request by Patience, the wife of President Goodluck Jonathan, for a former governor of the state, Rashidi Ladoja, to be “accommodated” in the PDP.

Mrs. Jonathan was said to have made the request during a meeting she had with the state PDP leaders at the Presidential Villa in Abuja nine days ago.

Some of leaders of the party in attendance were ex-governor Adebayo Alao-Akala; the Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, Jumoke Akinjide; a former Senate Leader, Sen. Teslim Folarin, and Chief Yekini Adeojo.

Ladoja, a former member of PDP and now National Leader of Accord Party, is nursing a guber ambition. He was also present at the villa meeting.

A PDP source, who attended the meeting told PUNCH that most of those in attendance were stunned when the President’s wife suggested that Ladoja should be supported to realise his ambition.

The source said, “The President’s wife asked that we should accommodate someone who is not a member of the party. How do we do this?

AT LAST: Speaker Tambuwal Dumps PDP for APC Today

After months of consultations, speaker of the House of Reps, Hon Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, will today dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and join the All Progressives Congress(APC).

He will read his defection letter on the floor of the House at plenary. However, contrary to the widely-held belief, Tambuwal will not resign his position as speaker; he will not lose his membership either.

Tambuwal’s defection to the APC has long been expected by many; his political affiliations had always portrayed him as a politician on the verge of joining the camp of the leading opposition party.

According to Governor Aliyu Wamakko: "I want to inform all stakeholders of the APC gathered here that Tambuwal has been with us since the formation of our great party. We told him to remain in PDP until the day of nomination of the party’s governorship candidate; and today is the day."

Stunning Female Fighter who killed over 100 ISIS terrorists 'captured & beheaded'

The poster girl for Kurdish female fighters battling ISIS has been reportedly beheaded by the dreaded group.The young woman, who went by the pseudonym "Rehana" became a symbol of the Kurdish resistance movement when  journalist Pawan Durani tweeted a picture of her giving a peace sign and tweeted 

"Rehana has killed more than 100 ISIS terrorists in Kobane,".

The photo went viral, receiving more than 5000 retweets.But sadly,social media has been filled with reports that she was captured and killed by ISIS after gruesome pictures began circulating on Twitter of an Isis fighter purportedly holding aloft her head..9News.com reports

FASHOLA SWITCHES ON 11.8 KILOMETRE PUBLIC LIGHTING ON IKORODU ROAD, MURTALA MOHAMMED WAY, YABA

Appeals to residents to take ownership and protect the public asset for the benefit of all 

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola SAN, Monday evening switched on an 11.8 kilometre stretch of public lighting covering from Ikorodu Road to Iddo via Jibowu and Murtala Mohammed Way, Yaba even as he appealed to residents to take ownership of the asset.

The project, which consists of 11.8 kilometres of public lighting, is broken into two sections with one section consisting of 1.2 kilometres from Ikorodu Road to Jibowu while the second consists of 10.6 kilometres on Murtala Mohammed Way (from Jibowu to Iddo). It brings to a total of 410 kilometres of roads so far lit up in the City by the Government in the last three years.

In his remarks shortly after performing the ceremony, Governor Fashola also appealed to motorists who ply the roads to obey the State’s Traffic laws especially by not driving against traffic saying by driving against traffic they not only endanger their lives but those of other road users.
