Graduate found dead after recovering from mental problem

The corpse of a 28-year-old graduate, known as Kehinde, who lived with his father on Omosebi Olugbo Street was found in an abandoned well in their house shortly after he had been declared missing.

 

It was gathered that Kehinde had a strange mental illness for about five years and was always indoors. He was said to have recovered recently from the illness before he was found dead in the well.

 Someone close to the family said: 

“Kehinde and his twin brother are well educated and they graduated from the university together. Their mother died a few years back, but their father stays in the house.

“He had been sick for the past five years and because of that, he was always kept indoors.

75yr old woman found in Ogun state, police call on family to come forward to claim her

 The Ogun state police command is asking anyone who knows the woman above, 75 year old Madam Janet Agbana, who was found wandering in a motorpark in Ibafo Ogun state by a good Samaritan on June 9th. The woman, who says she lives in Kwara with her son, said she doesn't know how she got to Ogun state. She said all she could remember was leaving her home in the Ita Amodu area of Ilorin and then boarding a bus to go buy something and found herself in Ogun state

Mermaids, aquatic creatures turn out for Coney Island parade

 Tens of thousands of revelers turned out Saturday for Coney Island's 33rd annual Mermaid Parade despite gray skies and steady drizzle.


"If it starts raining, we're all fish people," said Joe Coddington of Queens, who was wearing a crab hat and a shirt that said "butter me up." He added: "We come from the sea. It's even more fun."

Lia Perotta of Brooklyn said she has dressed as a mermaid every year for 10 years.

"It's all about the glitter today," she said.

The parade, which began in 1983 and takes place on the Saturday closest to the first day of summer, is a mix of seaside honky-tonk and family fun.
