Obasanjo Gets A Reply From Okupe For Endorsing Buhari

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe has reacted to former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s prediction that a new government will be formed on May 29, 2015.

Reacting on Tuesday night, Okupe wrote on his Facebook page:
"Someone was reported to have said /A new government will be installed on the 29th of may 2015.'
Lamentations 3 vs 37 says “Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass when the Lord commandeth it not? Isaiah 7 vs 7 says “Thus sayeth the Lord God, it shall not stand neither shall it come to pass.”
“Please if you are a friend of President Jonathan say AMEN to this,” Okupe pleaded.

It would be recalled that while speaking on election postponement, Obasanjo had during an interview with the Financial Times in Nairobi on Monday said: “I’ll only go by the constitution. By our constitution, there must be a new government on the 29th of May and the constitution lays out how that new government should emerge.”

Obasanjo also endorsed the presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress, Muhammadu Buhari.

If You like Postpone Election 20 Times, we wont Vote Jonathan – Esogban of Benin Kingdom

The Esogban of Benin Kingdom and Chairman of Benin Forum, which embodies all Binis in Nigeria and the Diaspora, Chief David Edebiri, has declared that notwithstanding the postponement of the general elections by INEC, the Binis will not vote for President Goodluck Jonathan. The Binin Forum is also the mouthpiece of the revered Benin monarch, Oba Erediauwa.

He identified one of the sins committed by President Jonathan against the Binis as the
Taking away of the only position given them by late President Musa Yar’Adua, which was Minister of State for Works occupied by Engr Chris Ogiemwonyi, saying, “he took the position and gave to his ex-wife Stella Oduah who comes from Anambra state and even made her a full Minister.”

So Jonathan Can't Define Simple Corruption? — Pst. Osinbajo

The vice presidential candidate of the APC, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has questioned the academic prowess of President Goodluck Jonathan over his Wednesday media chat. The president was, while trying to clarify the statement he made some time ago about corruption, complicated issues more.

Jonathan said, “Ole (thief in Yoruba) should be called Ole and given that treatment. Let us communicate properly. The word corruption, we have abused it.” GEJ said.

China Just Executed One Of The Richest Criminals In The World – see it here

frame
In the United States, it’s actually kind of hard to get executed by the criminal justice system. First off, the death penalty isn’t even legal in 19 states. Furthermore, in the states where it is legal, the death penalty is handed out as a form of punishment very rarely.

And to top it all off, criminals who do actually receive the death penalty are more likely to die of natural causes long before their appeals run out. This is not the case in China. Even if you’re really, really, really rich.
Earlier today, the Chinese government executed a man named Liu Han who was widely believed to be one of the richest criminals in the world.

Prior to his arrest and execution, Liu Han ran an empire called Sichuan Hanlong Mining Group. From the outside, his dealings may have looked liked a legitimate business operation. But, according to Chinese prosecutors, this legitimate mask was nothing more than a front for a violent and corrupt mafia with interests in a wide variety of criminal activities.

As seen on the fence of Bola Tinubu's Lagos home this morning

Lol. These politicians sef! Looks like the APC is still insisting that FG is sending military men to patrol the Lagos home of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. This pic was sent to me - allegedly put their by Tinubu's supporters. Below is the accompanying message...
"This is the message we found on the fence of the APC National Leader, Bola Tinubu's house this morning. The two banners hung in the fence of the main house and the next building to his house. The message was loud and clear to the military who have been patrolling Tinubu's house and the stretch of Bourdillon Road since last Sunday. The message on the banners meant for the military- "This is not Sambisa Forest. Wrong Posting."Sambisa Forest is the forest  under the control of Boko Haram for years and is yet to be penetrated by the Nigerian military. It is suspected that APC stalwarts and Tinubu supporters must have put up the message over night.

Do not die for a mediocre performer - Obasanjo

Speaking at the launch of his book, My Watch, in London yesterday, former President Olusegun Obasanjo urged Nigerians not to die for a mediocre performer. He also confirmed the statementcredited to him of his endorsement of APC presidential candidate, Gen Bu

"What I said and I maintain that and I will  say it again and I will do it. When the time comes for me to vote, I will consider the track record of all the candidates that are contesting and I will assess and based on my assessment for who I believe have the best track record to perform the job of the Nigerian president, then he will have my vote and if anybody should know what the job of the Nigerian president requires, I should know.
